My favourite wines under $15
I find it difficult to find wine under $15 that I truly enjoy. Below this price point I frequently run the risk of buying a wine that doesn’t taste great or gives me a hangover. But there are a small handful of wines below $15 that I love, and all of them are as good as other wines priced above $20.
- Jacob’s Creek Reserve Chardonnay – usually priced $15, but Dan Murphy’s and First Choice Liquor have them on special for $9 per bottle. What a steal! Also available at LiquorLand on special for $12.
- Jacob’s Creek Reserve Chardonnay Pinot Noir – $9 at Dan Murphy’s and First Choice Liquor, and $12 at LiquorLand. A perfect sparking white for parties.
- St Hallett Western Front Shiraz – this beautiful Barossa shiraz is rated 96 points and is available for $14.30 in any six at Dan Murphy’s. I’ve seen it on sale for $11.90 in the recent past so hold off from bulk purchases for now.
- Saint-Hilaire Blanquette de Limoux Brut – a beautiful French sparkling white that easily competes with other sparkling whites priced around $30. Another perfect choice for parties. Dan Murphy’s currently have them on sale for $13.90 in any six.
