We’re over the moon to get our hands on this small parcel of wine from one of our favourite Vic producers. The purity and freshness of High Country Victoria weaves its way through every sip. Made with 100% wild yeasts, so there is greater complexity and a truer expression of place on offer. In fact everything about this, top to bottom, speaks to careful, considered winemaking with the end user (that’s you!) front of mind. It’s no wonder they’ve established a national reputation for excellence.

A Riesling of great texture, personality and drinkability. There is a great volume of pot pourri, citrus & slate in the bouquet, providing a pretty intro to each sip. The palate shows off a really fine, powdery-chalky feel that is in harmony with lemon pith and green apple. The fruit sweetness and powdery tannins drive the long finish.

A pleasingly fresh short to medium term riesling whose floral and slightly candied aromas of lime juice, minerals, citrus blossoms and apple precede a luscious juicy and tangy palate of citrusy flavour, texture and viscosity. It finishes with a zesty lime juice acidity.

This is an elegant wine made from Estate grown grapes, hand picked at optimum ripeness for this fruit driven style. The characters of white peach and melons highlighted with spice tones, show through the palate with round texture and steely length. A complex but fine wine to drink in its youth or cellar up to 3 years.

Ladies Who Shoot Their Lunch Riesling is an evocatively named wine from the stable of sustainable living exponent, Matt Fowles. Sourced from family owned estate vineyards high up in the Strathbogie Ranges in Central Victoria, the 'Ladies' Riesling is able to contain the perfect acid levels to produce an aromatic white of utmost power and austerity. Not lacking in any complexity or texture, this is a food style Riesling that will drink nicely tonight or sit comfortably in the cellar for the next 3 to 4 years.

Produced in Victoria's high country, this is a superb example of the variety. Exotic aromas of lychee and turkish delight lead to a palate with clean fresh flavours and crisp acidity on the finish.
