Vasse Felix Margaret River Classic Dry Red - Related products

Moss Wood Ribbon Vale Cabernet

Colour and Condition: Deep brick red; bright condition. Nose: A smoldering combination of red currant, blueberry, violets, rum and raisin chocolate and tar, with a touch of white pepper. There are toasty oak notes and plenty of Cabernet cedar and tarriness. Palate: The wine commences with bright sweet fruits of red currant and mulberry, almost fairyfloss-like, that run the full length of the palate. Even with this fruit sweetness, underneath there is good balance of acidity and tannin, so the wine is concentrated and relatively smooth, especially pleasing in this type of year. On the finish there are toasty oak notes and classical Cabernet Sauvignon tarriness.

Juniper Margaret River Crossing Original Red

Sourced from Juniper Estate's Wilyabrup vineyard, Metricup site and Karridale vineyard, all of which are sustainably farmed following organic practices. Winner of a Gold medal and scoring 95pts at Royal Melbourne, the Crossing Original Red displays aromas of raspberry, redcurrant and cherry with a lick of cassis and a red liquorice twist. Oak contributes subtle cedar and vanilla hints. Medium to full-bodied and silky in the mouth – the palate is driven by bright, juicy red fruits and a hint of dark chocolate. Impeccably balanced acid, discreet oak, glossy tannins and remarkable length. "80% cabernet sauvignon, 10% merlot, 4% cabernet franc, 3% malbec, 3% petit verdot. Estate fruit, fermented in seperate parcels, up to 21 days on skins, matured in French oak (10% new for 14 months. For a little cheapie, this packs a punch. Perfectly Margaret River, uncomplicated in its expression, and coloured by a bevy of bright fruits. Compelling!... 90pts. Value Star" (Erin Larkin, Halliday Wine Companion).

Vasse Felix Tom Cullity Cabernet Malbec

Langton's Classification: Outstanding

Vasse Felix, Margaret River's founding wine estate, was established by Dr Thomas Brendan Cullity in 1967. Among his first plantings were Cabernet Sauvignon and Malbec vines, from which he produced the estate's first red wine. The Tom Cullity descends from these original vines and represents the pinnacle of Vasse Felix. The inaugural release will be in May 2017, coinciding with Vasse Felix's 50th Anniversary.

Atticus Grande Reserve Cabernets

Cabernet sauvignon, merlot, cabernet franc & petit verdot. An unambiguously classy wine, its quality established by the first whiff, and confirmed by the super elegant, medium bodied palate. All the cabernet cassis/blackcurrant you could wish for floats along the mouth with the other members of the Bordeaux family in respectful support. Lovely wine.
