Famille Hugel Gentil

Famille Hugel Pinot Blanc Classic

Crystalline and pure colour with a light green shimmer and silver flashes. The nose is refreshing and precise with green apples, white peaches, fresh moss and spring flowers, such as primrose and daffodil. On the palate it is a well-balanced and pleasant dry wine which is also fresh and pleasingly well-rounded. It is lively and zippy, but still retaining subtlety and elegance. A fine successor to the previous vintage. The grapes are taken in small tubs to the presses, which are filled by gravity, without any pumping or other mechanical intervention. After pressing, the must is decanted for a few hours, then fermented in temperature-controlled barrels or vats (at 18 to 24°C). The wine is racked just once, before natural clarification during the course of the winter. The following spring, the wine is lightly filtered just before bottling, and the bottles are then aged in our cellars until released.

Paul Blanck Pinot Blanc

Blanck may be a new name for CellarHand but thats certainly not the case in Alsace. Its getting on for 200 years since the family established a wine business in Kientzheim. Expressions of lemon, blossom, peach and apricot pips with a quench grapefruit zest. Zippy and zesty, The Paul Blanck Pinot Blanc is fresh and well balanced.

Hugel Gentil

Alsace is in the far north-eastern corner of France and is noted for its excellent white wines. It is the only AOC region in France that is allowed to produce wines designated by the name of the grape variety from which they are produced. During the 18th and 19th centuries, the Hugel family gained an enviable reputation for their winegrowing skills and for the meticulous way in which they cultivated their vineyards. While it's typical for one of the wine world's most northern climates to produce vintages of distinct character, the latest stands out, delivering some of the lowest yields in the last 30 years, extremely high acidity levels and healthy fruit harvested at high ripeness levels. The bouquet is very aromatic with white peach, fresh almond, green apple and floral notes. The wine is dry on the palate, fresh and well balanced, with a supple finish.

Super Felsa Spranger Riesling

Starred winemakers and childhood friends in France, Jérôme Mader, Eric Kientzler, and Paul Fuchshave put togethe rthis collaborative wine project. The name comes from an expression used by Jérôme Mader's grandfather. Super Felsa Spranger means riesling which breaks the stone so much it is dry. Super Felsa Spranger Riesling 2020 vintage is yellow gold in colour. The nose has aromas of lemon zest. The palate attacks you with its frankness. Particularly biting in the mouth, the wine fades with traces of mineral tension left behind. True to Grandpa's saying. Pair this wine with grilled fish, salad, or hot chips!
