RedHeads aren't shy of creating a stir, all in the name of top winemaking. And Harmonie Chardie really rocks! Since starting off in 2002, Redheads have blazed a trail to become one of Australia’s leading sustainable cellars – masters of small-batch, eco-friendly winemaking. They've won 8 trophies and over 200 Golds for their wines, including two for the debut release of Harmonie Rox. All the grapes come from grower Jack Bursten’s unique Coonawarra vineyard. It was originally planted by the late, great Wayne Stehbans – twice winner of Australia’s most prestigious wine Trophy, the Jimmy Watson. So he knew a thing or two about growing top grapes! And it really shows in the wine. Fermented in part new French oak, it's creamy, spiced and fruity.

Welcome to our latest release in theMéthode range. V2022Méthode Oakre Chardonnay. A trial to explore the influence of different types and ages of oak barrels on the resultant wine. The grapes were harvested and quickly pressed into 3 types of oak for fermentation; One new 300L French Hogshead 300L, one old 500L Puncheon and one 225L barrique previously used for Cabernet Sauvignon. The resultant wine is complex, combining biscuit and melon fruit with a hint of ‘Ochre’ colour and tannin complexity. A savoury style of Chardonnay combines biscuit and melon fruits, with a subtle oak influence. The palate is complex with the new oak adding toastiness, the old oak extending the mid-palate and the red wine barrel adding a hint of ‘ochre’ colour and tannin complexity. An overall balanced and elegant wine that is textural and intriguing.

Full-bodied white, pale straw in colour. Lifted aromas of rockmelon, white stone fruit, and vanilla bean. A complex layered palate, showing white peach and nectarine flavours, beautifully balanced with textured oak. The creamy mid-palate evolves into a long and mineral finish.

Jim Brand was a deeply passionate Coonawarra winemaker and vigneron who was born into the third generation of an Australian winemaking dynasty. Today, the family continue Jim’s legacy by crafting premium Coonawarra wines which reflect Jim Brand's drive, passion and endless pursuit for quality. The striking 93pt Yates Chardonnay is the perfect example of well known Cabernet regions, like Coonawarra, being home to equally impressive Chardonnay. A perfumed nose combines peach and stone fruit aromas with creamy buttery and vanillin oak characters. The palate is complex, smooth and rounded with a balanced acid structure. It displays strong peach and nectarine accompanied by creamy cashew nuts from barrel fermentation and maturation. Lingering fruit flavours last well after the last sip. "Elegant and stylish, the inviting bouquet shows ripe apricot, lemon pith, nougat and roasted cashew aromas, followed by a beautifully weighted palate displaying refined texture backed by bright acidity. Aged Riesling is one of the true joys of the wine world. The variety has the ability to transform itself over a period of years from a youthful, crisp and aromatic style overflowing with lemon, lime and floral characters into a textured beauty with notes of buttered toast. Pat Tocaciu has captured this ability perfectly with his Estate Aged Riesling that is starting its journey from young exciting upstart to a soulful and beguiling wonder.

The follow up vintage to the Trophy-winning 2019, and one that clearly shares the same DNA and class. Its richness will please those that prefer a traditional style.Pale and bright. White peach, grapefruit, pineapple and toasty oak aromas. Full-flavoured, rich and creamy with a core of rockmelon and peaches and cream, tight green apple acidity and toasty oak on the rich finish.

Derek’s 90’s love-affair with dance parties and techno music hasinspired this range of red wines. The passion morphed with hisschool nickname Deadly Derek to became DJ Deadly. He used tomake CD for friends with his best DJ mixes and signed them Mixed by DJ Deadly. The Amplifier Chardonnay is just anotherone of his creations. With a light straw hue the nose opens with lifted melon, peach,grilled nuts and a clove/cinnamon like character on the nose.The palate is mid weighted but with good flavour intensity. Itshows succulent white peach and tinned pear juice with hints ofmint and mushy peas. With a lovely pithy texture on the palatedue to leaving the wine on lees in French oak. With the Frenchoak imparting subtle clove and biscuity notes, With crispbalanced acidity and good drive to the finish it is a lovelyapproachable wine that would go well with roast chicken andcreamy pasta dishes. Drink young while it is vibrant and fresh but will age in the medium term.

A tribute to Patrick Tocaciu, our founder, a master and lover of Riesling. A Multi award winning wine and unique style, one that is rarely seen on shelves. Grown in our northern most Coonawarra vineyard. Block 5 Aged is only made in vintages that suit its style, it is bottled soon after harvest and cellared for a minimum of 5 years prior to release. This wine showcases Rieslings natural journey from a fresh, fruity wine in its youth to a complex, textural and toasty Riesling in its age. Cellar for as many years as you can resist, it will only get better. Tasting Note: This Riesling shows intense aromas of citrus, lanolin & a distinctive toasty character. The palate is delicately layered showing lime blossom & a wonderful mouth feel that extends to a crisp finish. Winemaker’s Note: Fresh & fruity in it’s youth, now displaying the unique characteristics & distinguished flavours that a well made Riesling can. This Riesling has been cellared for 7 years before release and will live for another 20 plus. Vintage Note: We had good winter rainfall followed by a warmer than average Spring. This brought forward flowering by two weeks and lead to moderate bunch numbers with small berries. A cool Summer then allowed the vines to catch up and a slow, even ripening period followed. Overall a strong vintage with excellent cellaring potential.

Coldstream Hills has been consistently producing excellent Yarra Valley Chardonnay for years and if anything it keeps getting better. Stone fruit and grapefruit characters are supported by creamy nutty oak.

Since the early 90's, Penfolds have been producing Chardonnay from the cool climate region of Tumbarumba. The Chardonnay is elegant with white florals, stone fruits and a great acidity structure. Maturation in French Oak gives the Bin 311 a subtle nutty savoury flavour through and through. A great all season wine for all sorts of occasions.
