The Nepenthe Altitude Chardonnay is one of the fine crisp and vibrant Adelaide Hills produced wines. Classic varietal aromas of stone fruits and nectarine complemented with refreshing citrus notes on the nose. The pure fruit flavours were enhanced by the lively crisp acidity leading to a lengthy finish.

These traditional sparkling varieties of Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier are sourced from the cool climate Adelaide Hills, and are picked early to retain high natural acidity. Small batches of these low yielding grapes are gently pressed in stainless stell basket presses. Following primary and partial malolactic fermentation the inidividual parcels are bottled and inoculated with yeast and sugar to encourage secondary fermentation. The cuvee is fermented in the bottle to develop complexity for approximately four years. This is a dry style sparkling with minerality, a crisp acid backbone and layers of flowers, fruits and toasty savoury nuances.

Penfolds Yattarna Chardonnay displays an initial bouquet of slate and wet stone, with nuances of lightly roasted almonds. Subtle hints of citrus, shrouded by nectarine and nashi pear fruits. On the palate, a spiced multi-citrus compote with a very delicate acidity. Balanced and will develop exceptionally well with cellaring.

From the Adelaide Hills, this Chardonnay shows pure essence of fresh varietal character. Harvested in the cool early hours of the morning with acidity is at its best, its structure and body give a lush creamy texture and lingering finish. Matured in light French oak for 9 months with extra time on lees has given this wine the softness and complexity on the finish. Aromas of nectarine and nashi pear are quite evident. The grapes used to craft The Katana Chardonnay were handpicked, chilled overnight, and whole bunch pressed. The juice was rough settled, and transferred to French oak barriques for fermentation. This process led to the creation of a pale straw coloured wine with golden yellow highlights along the edges. This wonderful Chardonnay presents a supple core of citrus blossom and white stone fruit characters, enhanced by mineral notes. The juicy palate contains flavours of bright fruits and French oak supported by crisp acidity, ending in a lively and captivating climax. This alluring white wine can be enjoyed within 5 years from vintage. Drink it with potato soup, roasted vegetable pizza, and chorizo and sweet potato risotto.

The Adelaide Hills wine region is known for producing exceptional - quality chardonnay grapes that are intense in flavour and elegant in character. Wicks Estate in Adelaide Hills presented this great Chardonnay which is light straw - yellow in colour. It was created using grapes that were crop - thinned and leaf - plucked extensively by the growers so that superior - quality chardonnay grapes could be obtained from the vineyard. After compression was done and the juice was extracted from the fruit, it was poured into a select range of French barrels so that it could undergo barrel fermentation. The result was this richly flavoured wine that is bound to please most white wine lovers.

Sitting high in the Adelaide Hills, Sidewood hand craft single vineyard wines of the utmost complexity. Their Chardonnay is made up of four French Chardonnay clones from the Ashwood vineyard and shows a crisp front palate with lifted layers of aromatic fruit.
