From cool slopes 530 metres above sea level in the Snowy Mountains, comes a classy Chardonnay that strikes a balance between fresh fruit and French oak. Generous nectarine and rockmelon aromas on the nose; characteristic Tumbarumba crispness on the palate, with fresh stone fruit flavours and a hint of honey on the way to a clean finish. Matured in 15% new French oak. Gold medals around the world (including at the International Wine & Spirits Awards and the Gilbert & Gaillard International Challenge) underline the appeal of genuinely cool-climate Australian Chardonnay.

Since the early 90's, Penfolds have been producing Chardonnay from the cool climate region of Tumbarumba. The Chardonnay is elegant with white florals, stone fruits and a great acidity structure. Maturation in French Oak gives the Bin 311 a subtle nutty savoury flavour through and through. A great all season wine for all sorts of occasions.

Grown in the Maragle Valley deep in the NSW Snowy Mountains, south-east of the township of Tumbarumba, the Maragle Valley is a sheltered valley environment, with suitably warm-ripening days and cold nights. Grapes are handpicked, whole-bunch pressed and with minimal settling, fermented in both medium-toast French oak barriques and stainless-steel fermenters. Matured for 6-months in oak with bi-weekly stirring of yeast lees sediments to improve texture. As fruit freshness is desired, MLF is not encouraged.

Tumbarumba is a high altitude region in the western foothills of the snowy mountains. The elevated and steep vineyards have fabulous sunlight exposure, which ensures intense fruit characters of white peach, honeydew melon, and a creamy palate with well integrated french oak.

Hailing from the high-altitude region of Tumbarumba ensures this Chardonnay has intense fruit characters of peach and honeydew melon, while a small amount of malolactic fermentation has lead to a creamy palate.

Both finesse and intensity are balanced... The Enden Road Chardonnay displays pristine aromas of citrus blossom, white peach and grapefruit along with a subtle element of spices on the nose. The natural acidity is seamless and smooth. The palate is generous and textural yet finishes with great length.

Nick Spencer describes this drop as "Tumbarumba in a bottle". A great example of the region's chardonnay, Nick believes that the 2018 vintage has produced some of the best fruit he has seen in the past decade. Vibrant green apple and white peach aromas linger on the nose, with slight crushed rock notes. Beautifully restrained power in the palate, subtle complexity and a devine length. This doesn't have the flashy oak and sulphide aspects which often characterised his critically acclaimed Chardonnays at Eden Road, this is a gentler, more streamlined version of the variety which showcases the purity of fruit from this cool nsw region.
