Over the years, Johnnie Walker has built a reputation for excellence by sourcing the finest malt and grain whiskies from various regions of Scotland. One of the key factors that sets Johnnie Walker apart is its commitment to the art of blending. The master blenders at Johnnie Walker meticulously select and combine different whiskies to create a harmonious blend that embodies the brand's signature style. With its rich flavors, impeccable craftsmanship and unwavering commitment to quality Johnnie Walker continues to be a beloved choice for whisky enthusiasts around the world. The aim of Johnnie Walker Double Black Label Blended Scotch Whisky creation was to create an 'amplified version' of the much loved Black Label. To achieve this end, the Master Distiller used peaty West Coast whiskies to emphasise the trademark smoky elements that have made Johnnie Walker whiskies so famous. Aimed at drinkers who are keen to explore the Johnnie Walker character in more depth, the Double Black offers intense nuances through the involvement of heavily peated malt whiskies, and some that have been aged in deeply charred oak casks. By reaching deep into some of the House of Walker's most distinctive and unparalleled single malts reserves, Double Black emerges as a powerful whisky that stands tall when placed shoulder to shoulder against its other blends and stands apart from all other whiskies on the market.

Levenside Special Reserve Single Scotch Whisky

Loch Lomond Signature Blended Scotch Whisky

Very aromatic, fortified wine-style nose. Plump rich sultana with subtle but vinous sherried tinges. Not over-powering but clear and direct. Almost a smoky quality once the darker fruit notes subside. PALATE A surprisingly malty firm palate. This structure remains throughout but with layers of ripe pears with cinnamon, ginger and dark sugar notes, each taking their turn to appear as the palate develops. Mild hints of dried fruits finish this off. The maltiness is chewy in quality and effect. FINISH On the finish the dried fruit notes take on an almost blackcurrant tone, more astringent, the sweetness curbed by notes of lemon tartness towards the end.

Talisker Skye Scotch Whisky

An easy-drinking style, taking the distillery's classically rugged character and softening it out, while maintaining the smoky and sweet notes the distillery is known for. More approachable, but still definitely Talisker. Talisker Skye was introduced in early 2015, named after the beautiful island on which the distillery resides. This expression brings with it a more well-rounded and sweet flavour profile packed with fresh citrus, sweet smoke, peppery spice and traditional Talisker maritime notes. It's matured in a combination of refill and toasted American oak casks, with a slightly higher proportion of toasted casks. Perfect for those who perhaps find the classic Talisker flavour profile a bit too much, not to say that Talisker fans won't enjoy it too. Double Gold | 2017 San Francisco World Spirits Competition.
