One of the early pioneers of the Margaret River region, Woodlands' vineyards date back to 1973. As curator of these historic vineyards, Stuart & Andrew Watson have firmly re-established Woodlands into the top echolon of Margaret River producers. Sourced from an the outstanding 2008 vintage, the Shelley Anne Cabernet Sauvignon shows cassis, mulberry and blackcurrant with that typical bay leaf and cedar undertones. Sourced from precious, low yielding vineyards from across the Barossa, this wine is a classic statement of intensity and finesse. While rich and generous in the traditional Barossa style, the wine has a seamless structure and extraordinary length and lingering flavour. Maturation in large seasoned and new French oak casks and barrels have allowed the exceptional parcels of fruit to express their distinct character.

CABERNET SAUVIGNON has been produced in our vineyards with a reduced yield. It is distinguished with an intense ruby-red colour, soothing fruity aromas with an after-point of vanilla and gillyflower infused by oak during its ripening. The taste is firm with an expressed structure, followed by a soft and harmonious aftertaste.

Deep ruby, purple in colour showing intense and creamy aromas of dark compote berry fruit with hints of blackberry, plums and mulberries peeking through. On the palate waves of the same dark berry fruit show early providing a density and voluptuousness to the mouth-feel that remains deep into the mouth and rolls out through the back. It is joined by just a hint of spice and some subtle glimpses of faint leather and sandalwood.
