Sensational shiraz from carefully selected parcels of fruit from the Clare Valley. The wine has a seductive, lifted aroma characterised by plum, blackcurrant and dark cherry fruits along with subtle chocolate and a touch of oak derived spice. The palate is rich, luscious and round with intense, perfectly ripened fruit characters. Mocha coffee and subtle spice characters complement generous fruit flavours of plum and blackberry. The wine is medium to full-bodied with a soft mid-palate and supple tannins. It has a well balanced structure with great texture, good length and lashings of fruit on the finish. In 1964 Jim Barry purchased 28ha of prime vineyard land in the Armagh district from Duncan McRae Wood. Shiraz was the first variety planted, and the McRae Wood property was the foundation of Barrys red wine production. The McRae Wood Shiraz in an unabashedly bold Clare Valley red thats big with plenty of oaky backbone. Black and red forest fruits (think cherry and plum) with a touch of vanilla and spice, its incredibly concentrated with a long, pleasing finish.

More lifted than its Coonawarra cousins, the Leasingham Classic Clare Cabernet has concentrated characters of blackcurrant, cooking spice and Old Gold chocolate. A standout of the Clare Valley.

Medium red with a purple hue in the glass, Jim Barry The Forger Shiraz opens with a brooding array of purple fruits with a hint of violet lift then countered with notes of cinnamon and sweet oak char. The palate is packed with the rich brambly fruit which follows on from the nose. Fine, chalky tannins give the wine a plush, velvety texture that fills the length of the palate. The Forger has a rich, lingering, persistent finish and is ideal for cellaring.

We love this wine. It's medium-bodied and just rolls off the tongue with all manner of delicious appealing flavours. The palate has an enticing mix of cloves and spices with a little blackcurrant character. The palate is generous with silky tannins and nice creamy oak with a lovely delicious finish.

Palladium Watchman Shiraz is a robust Margaret River Shiraz which exhibits black pepper characters complemented by the abundance of ripe plum and raspberry aromas.

A delicious modern Australian version of an old world classic. This is a full bodied wine with complex layers of flavour. At its core is rich blackcurrant, and dark cherry, beautifully melding with dark chocolate and hints of charry oak with supple underlying tannins. Overall a very generous, balanced and most enjoyable wine.

The fruit for this wine was sourced from premier blocks on the Taylor family estate in the Clare Valley. This is an elegant wine with immediate flavours of boysenberry, blackberry and then more subtle choc-mint and spice. The palate is bright, vibrant and juicy with a precise fine tannin line. The oak maturation brings depth and length to the palate. The wine is very well balanced with well integrated oak and the finish is persistent and imminently enjoyable.

The St Andrews Cabernet from Taylors has fine tannins and opulent cassis and fresh blackberry fruit are combined with cedar oak notes that make for a lovely drinking wine for now or something for the medium term section of your cellar.

Mount Horrocks Cabernet Sauvignon is the result of Stephanie Tooles expertise in finding the right balance between fruit richness and oak maturation. Beautifully marrying these two components has given birth to a poised, well-structured, and delicious wine that will keep you wanting more. The nose is a fragrant display of light herbs, fresh mint and red currant aromas with hints of cedar-like oak. The palate boasts of delightfully ripe tannins, and features red currant and other classic dark fruit flavours. This dark and inky Cabernet Sauvignon will definitely blow you away with its complexity, depth and vibrancy. It pairs very well with savoury beef, game meats and cheese.
