Just over 20 years ago, Claymore Wines was humbly established with small volumes of Grenache and Riesling from a single vineyard in Penwortham. Since then, the estate has grown to include additional varietals and 44 hectares across three additional vineyards in Watervale.

Discover the flavour of Reserve Parcel Riesling 2017. The nose consists of lemon and lime aromas with hints of pineapple. These flavours are continued onto the palate with the subtle addition of lemon blossom. Further sipping yields mineral notes with a long, lingering finish.

The Clare Valley and Riesling are a match made in wine heaven. Sam Barry has incredible local knowldege and a long family history in the region and is the driving force behind this Riesling.At 7% ABV, it is light on alcohol and but certianly not in flavour or character and shows all the great hallmarks of why Riesling from the Clare Valley has such an impressive reputation. It is crisp, lively and fresh.

Fresh, crisp and dry as it always is upon release. Finishes clean and dry with just a hint of textural grip.

The wines from Taylors are better than ever and their superb Riesling leads the way. Typical floral and citrus aromas leap from the glass and the palate is a mouthful of pure varietal flavour.

Taylors Chardonnay's toasty nutty flavours of the oak perfectly complement the rich melon peach varietal characters of the grape in this soft full-flavoured Chardonnay.

Taylors Pinot Gris is a strikingly varietal wine showing notes of baked apple and pear on the nose, with characteristic texture on the palate and soft acidity on the finish. Ideally suited to a whole range of foods, especially flash-barbecued prawns.

Almost perfect growing conditions came together with near perfect vineyard characteristics to craft this outstanding wine. Considered by the family as one of their best offerings in recent times, this wine is beautifully pale with a hint of green around the rim. Overflowing aromas of citrus and white flowers flow from the nose of this very pretty wine. The palate is balanced and dry, with lots of juicy fruit and splendid acidity to give a long, elegant and extraordinarily crisp finish. You can pair it with poached prawns with lime spiced salt, and baked scallops.

Taylors Jaraman Chardonnay has lifted, complex aromas of subtle white peach and nectarine along with secondary aromas of cream and cashew nuts from lees stirring and oak maturation. The Clare Valley component delivers mid-palate weight and richness with fleshy stone fruit flavours of yellow nectarine and white peach, while the Adelaide Hills component delivers elegance and length with restrained citrus flavours to the mid-palate.

Fresh, bright and youthful - the nose is awash with attractive, fruit forward aromatics that cross the spectrum from rich pear to white peach. Fresh yet svelte, the palate sees that lifted green pear evolve onto a nashi pear, with golden delicious apple vibes. Bright, primary fruit sits front and centre, backed by lovely textural elements, notes of almond meal and herbaceous hints of tarragon. Throughout the palate there is a minerality that can only be described as groovy. The epic finish lingers like a classic 70’s guitar solo, a moreish encore in every sip.
