Just over 20 years ago, Claymore Wines was humbly established with small volumes of Grenache and Riesling from a single vineyard in Penwortham. Since then, the estate has grown to include additional varietals and 44 hectares across three additional vineyards in Watervale.

Taylors Jaraman Chardonnay has lifted, complex aromas of subtle white peach and nectarine along with secondary aromas of cream and cashew nuts from lees stirring and oak maturation. This artisan crafted Clare Valley Chardonnay delivers what the bouquet promises, delightful aromas of citrus fruits, fig, and melon flavours along with a clean, mineral acidity and a touch of lemon zest. Texturally, it is very delicate, with a soft mid palate and well-integrated oak. Overall, the wine is quite aromatic with great line & length which lingers long after the wine is consumed.

Brilliant very pale straw colour with greenish tinged edges and a watery hue. Elevated pear and red apple aromas intermix with hints of honeysuckle and lime. Delicious juicy pear and red apple fruits drive the mouth watering palate with some delicate infusions of fresh herbs lying underneath. Excellent intensity and beautifully rounded texturally it finishes with a lick of crisp acidity and a long supple fruit driven aftertaste. Drink over the next year. Alc. 11.5%

This wine from Vickery displays hallmark Watervale aromas showing pure Riesling characteristics of fresh lemon-lime citrus, floral honeysuckle and a creamy richness. The flavours are fresh lemon citrus, with soft mineral acidity supported by the persistent and mouth-watering finish. An absolute delight to drink in its first flush of youth, but will intrigue and reward with additional complexity upon cellaring for 5-20 years.
