The Bare Touch wines are made by Cowpunk winemaker Aaron Mercer using early picked grapes, free run juice and a 'hands off' non intervention approach. The grapes are naturally lower in alcohol and with far less skin contact than a traditional red wine, the free run juice is bright and vibrant with significantly lower tannins. The 2018 Victorian Shiraz exhibits chocolate and warm berry fruits on the nose. On the palate, pepper and spice dominate the American oak's chocolate richness. This wine reveals length and generosity but remains soft and dry on the finish. Established in 2005 by the Hill-Smith family, Redbank Victoria specialises in ultra-cool climate wines from the valleys of Eastern Victoria. The vineyards are nestled in the high country of the Victorian alpine region as well as the King Valley, and some select vineyards in Beechworth. The winemakers and viticulturists work closely with a dedicated team of carefully selected independent growers. These small family-run vineyards offer unique and subtle soil and altitude differences that provide Redbank's winemakers with an opportunity to create distinctive wines reflecting the finest attributes of the region. Winemaker Marc van Halderen and viticulturist Nick Dry have a simple philosophy: great wine is made in the vineyard. Together, they craft wines from varieties such as Moscato, Pinot Gris, Viognier, Cabernet Sauvignon and Shiraz into styles ranging from aromatic, low alcohol summer whites through to spicy, plummy reds.

This wine opens with a lively burst of blueberry notes, complemented by hints of red currants and red liquorice. A fresh, juicy, and textured palate leads to a velvety finish with delightful chocolate undertones.

This dazzling Pertaringa Lakeside Shiraz features a dense and inky hue. The attractive bouquet exhibits mesmerising aromas of boysenberries, plums and red cherries, with spicy hints lurking in the background. The youthful palate contains flavours of sour cherries, plums and apricots, balanced by fine tannins. These wonderful elements fuse together to end the wine in a structured and captivating finish. This enticing Shiraz from Geoff Hardy has been crafted for immediate consumption, but can also be cellared for 8 years from vintage. It tastes excellent with a summer barbeque, or beef stew.

We have to talk about the Elephant in the Room Merlot. An aromatic scent of ripe, red berries balanced by spice and earthiness is continued into the palate with a well-contained flavour explosion. The delightful finish makes this the perfect wine to enjoy with friends.
