Reschke RSR Cabernet Sauvignon
We’ve now seen two vintages of this ripper deal fly out the door. For those in the know, this wine never disappoints upon pulling the cork. This cellar release may have eight years of development behind it, but give it a taste and you’ll see that it is only starting to touch its prime drinking window. This wine is usually exclusive to the producer’s database, but somehow our charming wine buyers have managed to get some for the site.

The mc2 is aclassic blend of Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Cabernet Franc. Cabernet Sauvignon gives the wine structure with rich fruits of the forest and a harmonious tannin fingerprint. Merlot encourages softness and juiciness with bursts of ripe blueberries and fresh plum jam. Finally, the Cabernet Franc contributes juicy red currants and cinnamon. All of these flavours meld together to bring a complex and rounded palate, which finishes with soft tannins and chocolatey oak.
Brand & Sons Last Sunday Drive Cabernet Franc

The rich taste slides through the mouth with a delicate balance of spice and mulberry which hold on leaving you savouring for the next glass. The Story Behind the Name... Summer ’73 and a rusty bulldozer rumbled into life, signalling the end of “The colony” and a distinct lowering of the Coonawarra skyline. For almost 90 years, families had flocked to Coonawarra to collect the bountiful fruits which grew on the famed red Terra Rossa soil. But as the favour of wine grew, the last fruit trees were felled and on a summer’s day in ’73, the last orchard was demolished. The end of an era, the last of the blockers and the last Sunday drive.
