For the Brabazon Bottling Series 4, Teeling sourced unique barrels used by a long forgotten historical style of portugese port to prroduce a truly unique and distinctive bottling of Teeling Whiskey. Carvacelos is a style of Portugese fortified wine dating back to the 18th Century. These rare port barrels were filled with single malt distilled in 2007 and left for over two years to impart the full range of flavour and character on the whiskey. The result is a truly unique whiskey bursting with soft citrus fruits and distinctive prickly spice. Tasting Notes Nose: Caramel, malt, toffee, white grapes, Granny Smith apples, honeydew melon and mint Taste: Complex orchard fruit, hay-like malt, toast, honey, marmalade, sweetness, oak tannins and spice Finish: Port soaked dry fruit, malt and hints of cookie dough.

While they build their whiskey distillery, they have sourced the finest double and triple distilled malts and a hint of peated malt. Bottled at 46% ABV the whiskey is not chill filtered giving a rich character to a super soft whiskey. Presented in a tall elegant bottle, the Silkie label is reflective of the blue/green colour of the sea at the foot of the Sliabh Liag Cliffs. A collaborative effort from Buffalo Trace Distillery, 'Traveller' brings together the collective artistry of 10X Grammy award-winning artist, Chris Stapleton and Buffalo Trace Distillery Master Distiller, Harlen Wheatley. Over fifty blends were sampled before making Blend No.40 the chosen combination. Little is known about the whiskey, what it's composed of, and whether or not any of the whiskey within the blend was even distilled at Buffalo Trace. However, Sazerac has confirmed that it contains 0% grain neutral spirits and has also stated it is a completely unique combination of whiskeys hand selected from multiple distilleries. 45% Alc./Vol.
