Claymore Youll Never Walk Alone GSM

Inspired by those delectable, food friendly blends from the south of France we have crafted a fresh and aromatic GSM that greets the drinker with savoury earthy aromas and succulent strawberries followed by hints of rosehip and fresh herbs. The true craft of the winemaker is the intricate art of blending. This wine is a prime expression of that artistic talent; the weaving together of various elements to enhance and complement each other resulting in a finished product far greater than the individual components. A cracker wine, fresh and juicy possessing crunchy tannins and savoury fresh mushroom character. The mid palate is full of floral red-currant fruit, with some choc-mint and fresh leather on the finish. This wine is unfiltered and matured for 10 months in older oak to preserve maximum primary fruit lift and intensity. An accessible wine of surprising length and complexity totally slurpable (yes it IS a word).

Jeanneret Sevenhill Riesling

The vines grow on slate just beneath very shallow soils and this wine shows all of those characteristics. From the delicate floral and citrus aromas to the slatey, minerally flavours. A passion for making wines purely for their own enjoyment organically expanded into a business and the Jeanneret cellar door was opened in October 1994. Headed up by self-taught Winemaker, Ben Jeanneret, our ethos is to produce generous wines full of flavour to be enjoyed amongst friends. Ben has perfected the art and is regarded as one of the leading winemakers of Clare Valley and was named one of the Ten Dark Horses by James Halliday. The business has continued to grow, change and innovate, but one thing has always remained the same to make great wines from local grapes.

Dead Man Walking Riesling

Riposte Wines 'The Scimitar' Riesling

Slices of citrus and floral notes abound on the nose of the 2019 Scimitar Single Vineyard Clare Valley Riesling complimenting a palate of lingering fresh lime and lemon flavours and finely balanced acid.

Claymore Wines Walk This Way Riesling

This regional collaboration release, developed in partnership with selected local growers showcases Clare Valley Riesling at its best. We invite you, as we invited them, to 'walk this way' and sample the rewards derived from working together, across our special part of the wine world, to celebrate our regional hero!

Jim Barry The Nurse Series Riesling

Aromas of lemon, grapefruit juice, brown lime and white flowers combine with a lick of mineral and wet slate on the nose. The palate is refreshing, with flavours of grapefruit and citrus rind with a white floral lift. The fruit weight shows the hallmarks of Watervale Riesling with zesty acidity, that gives line but still allows a sense of generosity.

Knappstein Clare Valley Pinot Gris

A perfect mix of orange zest, ginger spice and ripe pear combine with notes of vanilla and baked pastry. The palate is richly flavoured and delightfully textured, carrying the opulent spice-poached pear, quince and lemon honey flavours through to a clean crisp finish.

Penna Lane Three Valleys Riesling

Welcome back another stellar vintage of Penna Lane riesling. It’s a slightly riper style: less of the laser beam acid and more ripe fruit fun. It smells and tastes like a riz, with all that complexity and aromatic charm, while being deliciously easy drinking. There’s lime and sherbet, as standard, then hints of apricot, apple juice, and yellow apple. It’s amazing value and a perfect wine to have on hand for any occasion.

Atlas Wines Section 32 Riesling

When we find a treasure that our mofos love, we keep going back for more. Here’s the fourth vintage of this Clare riesling that we’ve featured and the first three were a roaring success. It comes from one of the rising stars of the region and hits all the notes you’ve come to expect. It’s bursting with citrus, minerality and texture. Riesling from Clare is renowned for its bracing acid line carried forth with vivid fruit. This one delivers all that and then some. Load up the cellar before it’s gone!

Crabtree Pomona Riesling

Riesling is an under-rated chameleon, and this is a rare find. When the new vintage talks come up for the Crabtree Pomona riesling, I pounce on everything we can get. 2022 was heralded as being the vintage of a lifetime for many in South Australia, but the 2023 vintage in Clare managed to bump it out by a mile. We’re almost at the point of licking the bottle just to get every last drop. There’s hints of orange peel and jasmine underlying the preserved lemon and lime freshness. Heaps of that roaring acid. Fresh, dry, and perfect to quench your thirst on a warm day.
