While the Rutherglen region is most famous for bold reds and fortified wines, they are quickly making a name for their alternative white varieties such as this tasty Fiano. This Bianco is a blend of Friulano (52%), Verdelho (22%), Albarino (12%), Chardonnay (7%) and Riesling (7%) from the Alpine Valleys and the King Valley. Made from a number of separate parcels. The Friulano, Verdelho and Riesling were fermented in stainless steel with inoculated yeasts. The Albarino was wild fermented in a puncheon and the Chardonnay was sparkling pressings wild fermented in old barrels.

Pizzini Arneis is grown and made in the foothills of the King Valley. This delicate grape ripens slowly in the protective Autumn mists and shows a bouquet of quince and almond and the palate displays wonderfully elegant fruit flavours.

Brilliant very pale straw colour with greenish tinged edges and a watery hue. Elevated pear and red apple aromas intermix with hints of honeysuckle and lime. Delicious juicy pear and red apple fruits drive the mouth watering palate with some delicate infusions of fresh herbs lying underneath. Excellent intensity and beautifully rounded texturally it finishes with a lick of crisp acidity and a long supple fruit driven aftertaste. Drink over the next year. Alc. 11.5%

Chardonnay sourced from Victorias cool climate King Valley goes into Nugan's Estate Chardonnay. Pale straw in appearance, with a youthful green hue. Aromas of peach, nectarine, poached peach and mixed spice, a rich mout filling palate of stone fruit, biscuit and yeast notes with a crisp acidity make this a good drink.
