Michel Couvreur Blossoming Auld Sherried Single Malt Whisky

Tasting note: The deep mahogany / gold ochre hue stains the sides of the glass and shows good viscosity. Mildly prickly aroma offers suggestions of pancake, dilute maple syrup and mocha. Little variation in the second phase which, if anything sees the intensity drop a notch. Light entry opens to a plush, clean, richly sherried profile; semi sweet Christmas cake flavours, hollowing out at the finish, concluding with vanilla and caramel at the fade. 45% Alc./Vol.

Nikka Taketsuru Pure Malt 12 Year Old Blended Malt Japanese Whisky

Rumoured to be discontinued, prices are already jumping abroad. Best buy now while Australia is still catching up! Note: Product has come from a private collection and as such has some minor scuffing/scratches/handling marks. Actual product not pictured. The 12 year old blended malt sourced from two of Nikka's distilleries, Yoichi and Miyagikyo, named after the company's founder, Masataka Taketsuru. An NAS (no age statement) Taketsuru bottling has recently been released (2016) in Australia at an increased price.

Domaine de Joy Armagnac

Brown with orange reflections. Rancio nose with hints of roasted hazelnuts. Unctuous and fluid mouth where mix rancio and candied orange.

Fenjiu Silk Road (Overseas Limited Edition)

With Shanxi traditional business elements as the theme of the design, there are blue and white, sea waves, auspicious clouds, sailing boats, sorghum and other traditional Chinese elements on the bottle body, and is plated with real gold. Very collectible. Because this product uses exclusive scarce green raw grains, the wine body used is also very scarce. It is selected as the original wine of 1.9% of the best wine quality in the annual output. The production process and blending process are very complicated. The wine is very pure and far exceeds international food safety standards. Because the output is too scarce, it is only sold in limited quantities for overseas markets. Alcoholic Content: 55% Vol: 750mL, contains Approx. 33 standard drinks. Ingredients: water, sorghum, barley, peas.

Bruichladdich Octomore 12.2 Strength Single Malt Scotch Whisky

Octomore seems to be getting a second wind of popularity - not that it was ever unpopular. Added to that is a sense of scarcity with allocations becoming smaller every year. 12.2 is no exception. The .2s in the series are known to showcase the impact of different wine barrels on the heavily peated Islay whisky. Distilled in the winter of 2015 from 100% Scottish grown Concerto barley, 12.2 weighs in at 129.7ppm and was matured in ex-Bourbon barrels, followed by 18 months in rare first-fill Sauternes casks. Knowing how well 'sweet & peat' can work, it's destined to be one of the more desirable editions to date. Bottled at cask strength, expect something sweet-ish with a salty edge, lots of earthy peat, sweet bonfire smoke plus hints of maritime complexity. 57.3% Alc./Vol. Non chill filtered. Very limited stocks .
