The 2021 Pierro VR Cabernet Sauvignon is sourced from mature vines planted in the celebrated Willyabrup subregion, where maritime influence and gravelly loam soils create ideal conditions for Cabernet Sauvignon of concentration and balance. “VR,” meaning Vieilles Réserves, signifies the estate’s most select parcels and oldest vineyard material, reserved for wines of exceptional quality and ageing potential. Crafted by Michael Dhillon, the wine reflects a meticulous and low-intervention approach that prioritises vineyard expression, textural refinement and longevity. The 2021 vintage delivered excellent growing conditions in Margaret River, producing fruit with intense flavour definition, natural acidity and finely structured tannins.
