Golden Avenue Tatiara Shiraz - Related products

Elderton East Wing Barossa Shiraz

A rich, classically styled, medium to full-bodied Shiraz with ample richness, a softly textured supple mouthfeel, and lifted flavours of ripe dark plum, liquorice, dark chocolate and toasty vanillin oak gliding across the palate.

RedHeads Moonlighters Red

‘Moonlighter’ captures the very essence of the RedHeads concept. Right at the beginning, when RedHeads started in the McLaren Vale, a handful of dedicated, rule-breaking, young winemakers, with a day job at the big corporations, would arrive at RedHeads studio early evening, down a cold beer, then start on crafting a ‘real’ wine, with all the unbridled passion you’d expect from the newly qualified winemaking elite Down Under. The same goes on today in the Barossa Valley RedHeads winemaking studio. Moonlighters is a super-innovative blend of grapes and wine regions, only the best parcels of South Australian fruit make it in.

Mountadam Five Fifty Barossa Shiraz

Located in the High Eden sub-region of the Barossa, Mountadam was originally established in 1972 by the late David Wynn for his winemaking son Adam. Since 2005, it has returned to being a family owned and run winery, with David and Jenni Brown overseeing its success. With Phil Lehmann, the son of Peter Lehmann, as chief winemaker, they are going from strength-to-strength. High Eden’s chilly heights lead to harvests up to a month later than those in neighbouring Eden Valley. The result is gorgeous Shiraz like this, full of blue fruit and peppery acidity.

Zonte's Footstep Super Trooper Fleurieu Shiraz Cabernet Sauvignon

Chateau Tanunda Parishes Langhorne Creek Barossa Shiraz

An intriguing and very successful, cross regional Shiraz. As Château Tanunda’s website describes it. “Parishes celebrates the heritage of our pre-eminent Australian wine regions, born from grape-growing communities as flavorsome as the wine they produce. Our carefully crafted drops embody exceptional regional character”. Very successfully, as Ray Jordan writes in Winepilot: “Put the weight and power of the Barossa with the supple drinkability of Langhorne Creek and you have something special like this thoroughly beautiful and delicious Shiraz. Dark plummy fruits with a lift of subtle mint. A delightfully pretty palate with fine tannins and well applied oak sitting comfortably amongst the fruit. The dark chocolate and blue fruit are a nice mix to further enhance an engaging palate... absolutely engaging.” 94pts (Winepilot).

Glen Eldon Eight Barrels Shiraz

Cooper Burns 'Livingstone' Shiraz

What do you get when you put super high quality fruit from a fantastic vintage in the hands of a couple of Barossa legends (including a former Torbreck winemaker)? You get age-worthy, full-bodied Barossa shiraz, with a bit of a kick to it too! These blokes are smashing it! Mark Cooper & Russell Burns are well-known wine professionals with plenty of experience and, if this wine is anything to go off, plenty of skill. Beautifully rich and complex, there's black fruits, vanillin oak, smoked meats and toasted spice on the nose, leading to a gorgeously mouth filling palate offering great concentration with a juicy texture and layers upon layers of fine tannins. This will be drinking well for another 10 years (at least). An extremely well made wine that's just entering the best years of its life.

Langton's Classification: Exceptional

Chris Ringland Shiraz 2005 represents an outstanding expression from the vineyard. The vine is powerful, voluptuous and ripe, yet the tannins are plush and mature, with moderate acidity. This vintage will have great longevity potential.

Serafino Shiraz

McLaren Vale and Shiraz - the perfect match. Steve Maglieri is the icon behind the Serafino name and his Shiraz is a typically wonderful full-flavoured and full-bodied red with the black and red fruits you can handle. A rich and voluptuous palate with a silken, textured finish that is a perfect match to big, rich beef dishes or a robust lamb ragu.
