Discover a Single Vineyard McLaren Vale Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon of real elegance and full flavour from the impressive Dog Ridge.Established in 1992, Dog Ridge is a McLaren Vale family run winery with some impressive old vines, and a range of beautifully-crafted boutique wines, including some very classy top-end releases. The name DogRidge comes from an old-fashioned vine rootstock that, being dog lovers, captured the imagination of owners Dave and Jen Wright and Fred and Sarah Howard. Dave's the viticulturist, Fred the winemaker.

Made by Rockstar winemaker Ben Riggs, the McLaren Vale Shiraz is as true an expression as one could hope for. The fifth release of the wine is based around a core of pristine fruit with dark red berries, hints of spice, earth, tar and leather and with seamlessly integrated oak. Ripe tannins are apparent but not overwhelming, meaning this is a wine which can be enjoyed now or in the next 10-15 years.

From the single vineyard site in the McLaren Vale comes this intensely dark crimson coloured Shiraz from the team at Paxton. Intense dark crimson in colour and equally intense flavours - this is for lovers of beautifully complex wine. It is a clear expression of its unique site.

The perfect balance between power and elegance is present here in 'The Descendant' Shiraz by III Associates. Lifted perfume of violet and red fruits courtesy of older oak used lets the fruit sing.

The nose is teeming with red fruits and florals.Raspberry and cherry with a hint rose and violet. The true giveaways to the vintage however, lie in the distinct white pepper and spice notes. The palate follows suit with bright red fruit and spice.

Big bold and tightly knit, Woodhenge will evolve over the following years as the style and full body of McLaren Vale fruit starts to integrate. Currently showing dark chocolate, mocha and mint over tones. As this wine ages and unfurls patience will be rewarded.

Selected from 65 year old McLaren Vale Cabernet Sauvignon vines, this wine was matured in French Oak hogsheads for 2 years. Cherry & mint aromas & chocolate oak dominate the nose & carry through to the full, round palate, that finishes with soft velvety tannins. Decant wine & allow to breathe before enjoying.
