Woodlands Chardonnay has an attractive nose of grapefruit enhanced by some oak characters. A wine of some finesse with the elements of fruit, oak and acid coming together to produce a wine of exceptional balance and length.

The Lenton Brae Southside Chardonnay plays off the already established Wilyabrup Chardonnay with a fresh, vibrant feel to the wine. A cleansing line of acid is evident throughout the palate as is the textured mouthfeel courtesy of 'wild' primary fermentation and the addition of quality oak to the process. Designed to be enjoyed in its youth, this classic Margaret River Chardonnay will also enjoy some short to medium-term cellaring to coax out its true essence.

Delicate and gentle notes of cooler climate fruits fill the nose; wet stones, chalk, fine citrus zest and orange blossom. The palate is lissom and has a mineral water like weight as citrus fruits mingle with toasted nut-meal and caramel. A fine and soft acidity retains levity and gives length and crispness to finish this Chardonnay by Marchand and Burch.

In the glass: Pale lemon.On the nose: Peach, citrus, almond and vanillin oak. On the palate: Smooth and creamy with a decadent mix of citrus and stonefruit, vanillin oak support, velvety mouth-feel and fresh acidity.

From the Singlefile vineyard in the Denmark sub-region on the Great Southern, this is a modern styled. lightly oaked chardonnay showing grapefruit and white peach aromas and sublte oak. The palate displays citrus and stone fruit with a soft creamy finish.

It has a lovely bouquet of white peach and pear with hints of honey and nougat. This chardonnay is 100% wild fermented and matured in French oak for nine months. The palate is soft with fresh tropical fruit flavours, finishing with citrus and chalky minerality. All three parcels were hand-picked on the same day and chilled overnight. The following day the grapes were tipped as whole bunches directly into our press and gently pressed off into a tank. Natural settling occurred overnight and the cloudy juice was then sent to French oak barrels twenty-four hours later. Wild fermentation was completed in a barrel and allowed to mature on its own lees for nine months, with minimal stirring during this time, to maintain freshness and natural acidity. From the Lange family estate and vineyard situated in the picturesque Frankland River, tucked away in the far northwestern corner of the Great Southern. “This is a potent Chardonnnay of power and presence. Toasty whiffs with cedar and clove spice, some rich, hazelnut elements, ripe citrus, red apple and rockmelon in tow. The palate similar to the bouquet, bold and spicy, laden with woody seasoning and generous to a tee. In all that, the balance works well” (Halliday).
