A wine with a yellowish color. The aroma is complex, built with southern fruits combined with creamy, buttery undernotes. The taste is full, rounded with a fine and long ending.

Full-bodied white, pale straw in colour. Lifted aromas of rockmelon, white stone fruit, and vanilla bean. A complex layered palate, showing white peach and nectarine flavours, beautifully balanced with textured oak. The creamy mid-palate evolves into a long and mineral finish.

Lighter unoaked style. Fruit focused wine filled with bright fruit aromas. Fruit driven palate is packed with ripe melon and tropical fruit notes. Full flavoursome finish.

Main Divide is named after the local name for Southern Alps that divide New Zealand's south island in two. Their 2008 Chardonnay is made using traditional Burgundian methods and has resulted in a wine of great complexity. Aromas and flavours of zesty citrus, with palate covering peach and a hint of fresh toast.

Opening with a subtle nose of green apple, grapefruit, bread dough and light toasty oak, it has an incredibly fine and savoury palate with enduring length and persistence. This is a fresh and vibrant Chardonnay crafted with minimal oak influence to ensure the varietal characteristics refresh the palate. Stone fruit, grapefruit and honeydew melon create a luscious palate with silky mouthfeel which finishes with a refreshing twist of lemon.

It may be the second label of Scotchman's Hill but don't be deceived the quality of this wine is first rate! Delicate, floral and perfumed aromas are backed up by ripe melon and stone fruit flavours.
