Named after Ben’s mother, Valerie, the Matriarch of the Riggs family. 15% of the fruit was kept as whole bunch to add texture and complexity as well as a little bit of tannin weight. The wine was fermented over an 8 day period and then pressed directly to a mixture of French barriques and puncheons with 20% being new oak where it matured for a period of 6 months. Semi translucent red to dark red core with black toned edges and a light red hue. Perfumed like violet scents mix with red to dark cherry and wild strawberries followed by some forest floor, fresh herb and spicy cedar notes. Delicious dark cherry and strawberry fruits are delivered with intensity and possess a lovely supple feel. Lending further interest are notions of subtle anise, dried herbs, forest floor and spicy cedar. Excellent power wave with polished tannins and a long succulently fruited finish that’s quite savoury. Drink over the next 4-5 years. Alc. 13.5%

This Kuitpo Pinot Noir is a blend from two vineyards in Kuitpo, Christmas Hill and Topnote. The blocks integrate seamlessly to produce a wine portraying the gradually shortening days, the subtle look of Autumn and the gently rolling sandy loam landscape draped in morning fog in which it's grow. Partial carbonic maceration adds a floral lift to the wine with subtle earthiness and fresh strawberry notes while a portion of whole bunch gives structure and spice while maintaining the vibrancy and varietal character of Pinot Noir.

Young, vibrant, lively and fresh, Longview Fresco Nebbiolo is an unwooded wine. It's made in the Vino Novello style (immediate drinkability) using fruit sourced from Longview's single vineyard at Macclesfield. Showing a youthful red colour, the wine gives off aromas of cherry-cola, with lifted fragrances of spice, roses and violets. The lip-smacking palate welcomes you with cherry and strawberry characters rounded with ripe tannins and well balanced acidity. Ultimately, the wine takes you to a savoury and edgy finale. This Adelaide Hills Nebbiolo can be enjoyed with a bowl of pasta, or rich duck egg ravioli stuffed with wild mushrooms.

Displaying complex aromas of strawberries and cream with hints of forest floor. The palate is seamless and elegant. Red fruits with enticing gamey characters swirl within layers of mushroom and notes of fresh herbs. The French oak adds ample but delicate tannins delivering a generous delightful length. Our Winemakers explored many grape trails across the Hills to track down the best parcels of fruit to go into this wine. Follow the deep red road to discover aromas of beautiful blackberries and cherries. Your mouth will be filled with rich and velvety dark plums and savoury spice notes. This stylish Shiraz finishes long and well-balanced making it an easy wine to pair with grilled or roasted meats.
