A sophisticated chardonnay based on some exceptional fruit and the deft subtle hand of the winemaker. Xanadu Fusion Chardonnay gives an elegant bouquet full of pears, grapefruit and gala apples with underlying hints of nougat and cashew. This Chardonnay is predominantly from our Chapman Brook Vineyard,established in 1994 in the cool southern half of Margaret River. The cooler climate captures the freshness and vibrancy of the variety. Yellow hay with a bright gold hue. A tropical nose of yellow peaches, melon and mandarin. Generous fruit intensity on the flowing palate, rich with rock melon, pistachio, lemon curd and orange blossom, lifting with a zesty, crisp acidity.

The 2022 vintage was a mild year for white grapes in Margaret River,allowing plenty of time during February and March to ripen the fruit to ourspecification. Winemaking -Modern white wine making techniques are employed in the productionof the Lifestyle Chardonnay, with temperature control considered criticalfrom the moment the fruit reaches the winery. The fruit is de stemmed and crushed, then must chilled and pressed off skins in a very short space of time.The lightly clarified juice is then racked to barrels and stainless steel tanks forfermentation with a mix of wild and added yeast. Both tanks and barrels are stirred on yeast lees during their maturation period. Storage & Bottling -Bottled under screwcap into a burgundy bottle.
