The Parker Coonawarra Estate Cabernet Sauvignon is made in a riper, more generous style to its peers, yet with enough restraint to display the distinct varietal and regional characteristics. Dark chocolates, violets and notes of liquorice capture the nose, revealing a expansive soft palate layered in berry fruits. Supported by fine grain tannins, the wine encompassing a classic structure, one that can be enjoyed on release and or cellared short to medium term.

The Coonawarra region is a flat terrain, located on the Limestone coast in South Australia. Elgins Crossing commemorates pioneering vigneron John Riddochs outward voyage to Australia aboard the sailing ship Lady Elgin in 1851. According to chief winemaker, Sue Hodder, The Siding Cabernet Sauvignon aims to deliver a leading affordable Cabernet that showcases exceptional varietal and region characteristics of red cherry, mint and dark berry flavours, while an array of gentle tannins will further reward from short to medium term cellaring.

Pioneer of the Coonawarra region, John Riddoch, lends his name to the highway that dissects the famous 'terra rossa' dominated region which is home to some of Australia's premier red wine vineyards. The fruit for this evocative Shiraz is sourced from some of these vineyards and is aged in a combination of French and American oak for 18 months to develop increased complexity.
