Brands Laira is an iconic winery, nestled in the heart of the famed terra rossa strip of the Coonawarra region in South Australia. Named after the visionary pioneer John Riddoch (1827-1901) who established the Coonawarra Fruit Colony in 1890. The cool maritime climate and exceptional vineyard sites produce wines of beautiful aromatic complexity, rich flavours and freshness. This classic Coonawarra Cabernet Sauvignon, aged in French and American oak barrels, is concentrated and supple with blackcurrant, dark cherry, earthy chocolate and plentiful fine-grained textures.

This wine will be drinking beautifully from right now until 2035 - to make a conservative estimate. Sourced from Parker Estate's renowned ‘Abbey’ vineyard in southern Coonawarra - where the unique microclimate delivers a longer ripening season and the world-famous terra rossa soils make their mark on every single grape. The result? A tighter tannin structure, deeper fruit concentration, and serious cellar-worthy swagger. That said, this wine is drinking wonderfully already, at such a young age, and those who like their wines with a bit of grunt will find happiness in its graceful austerity. Or, if you're one for cellaring, dig a whole in the backyard, set you're alarm for 2035 and forget about it. The magic of stelvin-sealed bottle development will take care of the rest.

Leconfield Merlot has big and juicy dark fruits, soft tannins all supported by lovely French oak. Paul Gordon continues to produce a serious Merlot for a great price, year in, year out. His Merlot is also one that will benefit from a little sit in the medium term cellar.

This Cabernet Sauvignon is sourced from the classic Coonawarra region of South Australia. Enticing dark fruit aromas of blackcurrant and mulberry mixed with a hint of mint and eucalypt entwine gracefully with earthy tones and mixed spice. Thats the number of vines that were first transported to our shores in 1832. They have been collected from Spain and France for the purpose of starting the first vineyards in Australia. Once the vines arrives, they were put into the care of a studious botanist we have nicknamed The Tutor.
