Cape Mentelle Sauvignon Blanc Semillon is delicate yet full, the palate is distinctively lemon and lime with subtle star anise, lemongrass and clove. Richness and weight are balanced with fresh acidity, giving direction and finesse.

In the glass: Pale lemon with a green hue. On the nose: Gooseberry, grapefruit and smokey oak aromas. On the palate: Layered and complex with lingering flavour persistence, lovely savoury layers of citrus fruit and faint tropicals, refreshing acidity and obvious yet good quality oak. This excellent expression of Chardonnay, partly due to only limited time in oak, is light, fresh and zesty but with inherent complexity. Pale straw in colour, this wine exhibits lifted nectarine and white blossom characters with underlying minerality and depth.
