Canadian Club Chronicles 41 Year Old Canadian Whisky
The Canadian Club Chronicles series consists of a base of corn whisky to which a small quantity of Cognac, rye and sherry have been added. Under Canadian law, distillers can blend in up to a maximum of 9.09% of other liquids containing alcohol into their whiskies. The latest release in the Canadian Club Chronicles series which highlights the rich history of Canadian Club. This year’s release was selected from one of two lots of the single grain whisky barrelled in 1977 then masterfully blended with subtle hints of cognac, rye and sherry. Every package has been crafted with attention to detail – the bottle features a sand blasted etching and a custom closure made with natural cork. The label, rope and strip stamp are individually applied by hand and placed in a specially designed carton. The colour is light gold. On the nose, there is a distinct corn syrup sweetness, along with notes of vanilla, buttery cooked corn, wood spice and milk chocolate. There is a trace of dark dried fruit, primarily raisin and prune, and a hint of fig; as well as some oak. There is a light alcohol note, more like a faint aroma of nail polish remover. As the whisky opens up more pronounced notes of vanilla and butterscotch sweetness emerge, followed by elements of peach and apricot, cotton candy, dried tropical fruit, some oak wood and hints of nutmeg and clove. On the palate, the whisky is rich, powerful and sweet, with a smooth and creamy texture and with a pronounced oiliness and palate weight. It features notes of vanilla, brown sugar, creamy custard, milk chocolate, almonds and sweet cornbread, followed by notes of golden raisin and some fig, salted caramel, peach and apricot, dried tropical fruits and very slight hints of candied citrus. There is a bit of wood spices of cloves and nutmeg that also emerge, along with some pepperiness and a slight bitter note. The finish is long, silky, oily and creamy, featuring sweet, cooked, buttery cornbread, milk chocolate, followed by notes of golden raisin, citrus and dried fruit, along with some nutmeg and cloves. There is a noticeable background ginger pepperiness and slight bitter note throughout and a sweet, buttery, caramel note that builds steadily toward the end. The buttery, caramel sweetness persists on the palate for a long time.

The Dalmore King Alexander III Single Malt Scotch Whisky
Product Information: The Dalmore King Alexander III is the world’s first single malt to be crafted using an assemblage of six different cask finishes. This masterpiece showcases The Dalmore's philosophy of multi-cask maturation, bringing together Bourbon casks, Matusalem Oloroso Sherry casks, Madeira casks, Marsala casks, Port pipes, and Cabernet Sauvignon wine barriques—all expertly married in a Sherry butt. The result is a whisky that delivers a rich and enticing flavour profile with remarkable depth and complexity. Master Distiller Richard Paterson describes this pioneering whisky as "a fitting reward for those with the courage to stand apart and make a difference." Aromas of red berry fruits and hints of passion fruit lead to a palate of citrus zest, vanilla pod, crème caramel, and crushed almonds. The finish is endless, revealing dustings of cinnamon, nutmeg, and ginger spice—a true testament to The Dalmore’s remarkable legacy. This whisky commemorates King Alexander III of Scotland, who reigned from 1249 to 1286. His rule is remembered as a golden era of prosperity and territorial expansion, thanks to his diplomatic acumen and courageous leadership, including his pivotal role in fostering peace with England during a time of frequent conflict. Maker: The Dalmore’s history is steeped in royal legacy, symbolized by the 12-point Royal Stag that adorns each bottle. This emblem was bestowed upon Colin of Kintail, chieftain of Clan Mackenzie, by King Alexander III of Scotland after he saved the monarch from a charging stag in 1263. The Dalmore distillery was founded in 1839 by Alexander Matheson, with the Mackenzie clan taking control in 1867, further cementing the brand's connection to royalty and quality. The distillery’s unique collection of stills produces a robust and fruity new make spirit, ideal for long, complex maturation. Richard Paterson, a pioneer in cask curation, guided The Dalmore for nearly five decades, setting the stage for its global acclaim.
