Planted in 1990 with the renowned P58 clone, the vineyard’s red volcanic soils and cool climate produce wines of precision, purity and depth. A vibrant Chardonnay with lifted aromas of kaffir lime leaf, citrus pith, white nectarine and alpine mint, layered with notes of flint, ginger and toasted almonds. Subtle oak brings warmth through hints of ginger snap and spice. The palate is bright, textured and tightly coiled, with flavours of candied lime, lemon drop, grapefruit pith and juicy nectarine. A fine bead of acidity and mineral crunch carry the wine to a long, layered finish. Elegant yet powerful, this is a classic expression of 864 Chardonnay - refined, complex and built to age.

2014 is the inaugural release of Colleens Paddock Pinot Noir. It features a restrained, brooding and beguiling nose with hints of cranberry, sour cherry, wild raspberry, earth, stalks and charry oak. The aristocratic palate weaves an uncommon melange of toffee fruits, herbal flavours and savoury elements through fine, integrated tannins and delivers an elegant, luscious, velvety mouth feel. Wine by Farr G.C Chardonnay, Geelong The GC Chardonnay is named for Gary Charles Farr who began gold mining in Bannockburn in the 1970s. a complete Chardonnay. The fruit is hand-picked then pressed whole-bunch. The resulting juice and solids are chilled prior to being put on 35% new French oak. Over the following two months, natural fermentation will occur with a little less stirring to promotes the malolactic fermentation. After racking, fining and a little filtering, the wine is bottled nearly a year later. Those at the Farr winery call it a complete Chardonnay.

Bannockburn is spicy with well intergraded savoury oak and great acidity backbone. The varietal flavours such as, raspberries, strawberries and red cherries fruits lingers with a faint hint of forest floor on the palate with well supporting tannins. A greatly composed wine, this is undoubtedly pushing the setting of this country's benchmark for Pinot Noir to another level.
