For Ray Jordan it is "… a slightly riper and more generous style of riesling, especially on the nose, where you pick up more opulent notes of stone fruit and a little honey-like nectar. Yet the palate tightens up as it should, revealing a minerally, spicy character, with citrus tangs building. It has a fine talcy acidity and the flavour and palate are long. It’s a nice wine, especially in the medium term. 91pts". Phil Shilcock and Michelle Gray purchased the former Montgomery’s Hill in October 2017 and launched the Monty’s Leap brand. The mature vineyard (planted in 1996) is planted on the banks of the Kalgan River, 16km northeast of Albany.

In the glass: Pale lemon with a green hue. On the nose: Gooseberry, grapefruit and smokey oak aromas. On the palate: Layered and complex with lingering flavour persistence, lovely savoury layers of citrus fruit and faint tropicals, refreshing acidity and obvious yet good quality oak. The Gold Turtle range from Madfish had always been a family favorite. Pale lime yellow in colour, their Riesling has the classic varietal characters, such as lifted citrus blossom and minerals. Generous lemon curd and citrus fruits on the palate it finishes with mouthwatering acidity. Great match with seafood.

Fresh, pungent and layered wine by Evans & Tate. Gooseberry, lime leaf, melon and lychee with a regional grassy lift. Behind this sits subtle notes of custard apple, toast and spice from a touch of wild barrel fermentation. The Semillon Sauvignon Blanc style continues onto the palate which is fleshy, long and fresh.

A dark crimson red with good depth. Lovely aromas of dark plums and red berry fruits, complexed by a hint of smokiness. The delicious fresh berry fruit flavours are balanced by the drying tannins, a hallmark of this variety. There's an attractive smoky plum fruit character and the long dry finish gives a good length of flavour.

Vibrant and lifted, this cool climate blenddisplays aromas of pea hay, asparagus and white peach with secondary notes of cut grass and melons. A fresh mid-palate of grapefruit and quince with a hint of passionfruit anda long, crisp citrus finish.
