Girlan Alto Adige Pinot Bianco
Hand picked Pinot Blianco fruit by Girlan, grown on the mineral rich hillsides of Cornaiano, at altitudes ranging from 450 to 500 metres above sea level. The juice is tank fermented, with 10% going through malo to add some flesh to the wines crisp Alpine bones. Lower than average yields have resulted in a racy, pulpy, kaffir-lime, apple, and spice scented wine with lovely, pithy minerality and a zesty bite on the finish.

Ponte was born in 1948 from the tenacious will and ambition of a small group of winemakers who joined forces to face the difficult post-war years and reconstruction. Currently the winery has 1,000 families of winemakers for 3,000 hectares of land distributed throughout the Veneto.

The Castello de Poggio brand is steeped in history going back to 1699 and the ancient fortress on the original property at Asti goes back to the 12th Century. This expansive landscape comprising the Veneto, Friuli-Venezia-Giuila and Trentino-Aldo-Adige wine regions broadly corresponds to the old Venetian Republic.
