The Extra is a blend of the Frapin family reserves, with an average barrel age of 40-50 years. Frapin sources its fruit for this fine Cognac from their family vineyards in the heart of Grande Champagne, the finest terroir in Cognac. Frapin utilizes dry-cellar aging for the Extra, allowing a higher percentage of water evaporation percentage relative to alcohol, leading to a more refined, elegant Cognac. The Extra shows complex cigar box characters, showing a sweet and complex velvety texture with layers of spice, roasted nuts and dried figs.

Established in 1826 by James Allardice the Glendronach distillery was one of the first licensed distilleries in Scotland. The GlenDronach is borne of the landscape and natural ingredients that surround, from the soft Highland water drawn from the underwater springs in the Balnoon hills to the Scottish malted barley sourced from our trusted partners. The hallmark of the distillery is the marriage of robust Highland spirit with the finest Pedro Ximénez and Oloroso sherry casks from Andalucia in Spain. This exquisite duality brings exceptional depth, complexity, and character to their whiskies. Each year Master Distiller, Billy Walker, specially selects a handful of individual cask from the warehouse at GlenDronach Distillery, to be bottled as the GlenDronach 'Limited Release'. With maturing whiskies dating back as far as 1968, there is a vast selection of barrels, hogsheds, puncheons and butts to choose from. Each of the casks display truly remarkable characteristic - the malt whisky contained within having developed exceptionally during the long maturation process. Individually numbered by hand, each vintage release is an exclusive one-off, with only a limited number of bottles available. These exceptional expressions are a fantastic representation of the style of whiskies maturing in the GlenDronach Distillery warehouses, and are smooth, well balanced and tremendously complex. Each dram is guaranteed to delight and inspire. This single cask was matured in Oloroso casks for 28 years. A deep walnut brown in colour, aromas of raisins, cinnamon and crème caramel. On the palate are more raisins, muscatels, walnuts and of course rich sherry flavours, with Christmas spices of cinnamon and cloves. Hibiki 17 Year Old Whisky is produced with a combination of grain whisky and premium malts from the Yamazaki and Hakushu distilleries, which are often aged in very rare Japanese oak. This whisky is elegant and poised, slowly revealing a clear yet complex equilibrium. The bottle itself is a thing of beauty, with 24 faces, reflecting each of the seasons of the old Japanese Lunar calendar.

Apart from Single Malts, Suntory also produces a premium series of blended whiskies under the label 'Hibiki' (meaning 'harmony'), usually containing a high proportion of Single Malt (upwards of 50% according to one of the company's blenders). Thirty different malts are employed from Suntory's three distilleries, most with an age well above 21 years. Hibiki 21 Year Old was, yet again, selected as the best-blended whisky in the world at the World Whisky Awards 2017. Hibiki has been awarded every year at the WWA since 2009. The judges described it as being Elegant, sweet and complex. This whisky is full of dried fruit, orange peel, strawberry jam, and baked apple from start to finish. Smooth, subtle and fairly short. Obvious collector appeal here, but we'd like to imagine this one being appreciated for what's inside the bottle. 43% Alc./Vol.

The Hibiki 17 Years Old whisky is a meticulous blend of over thirty of the finest single malts from Suntory's two distilleries, Yamazaki and Hakushu, and grain whisky from their Chita distillery, most with an age of well over 17 years.Created in 1989, Suntory artisans perfect this harmonious blend to create a full symphony of delicate flavours and blossoming aromas. The design of the bottle symbolises the 24 seasons of the Japanese lunar calendar.In 2018, Suntory Whisky announced the Hibiki 17 Years Old would be discontinued making this scarce bottle a rare collector's item of enchanting value.
