The Legacy Peak vineyard, situated at an elevation of 1,246 meters, is nestled within the picturesque landscape of the Xixia King Tombs in the Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region. Distinguished by its unique position, this vineyard stands out as one of the rare locations in China boasting vines that have gracefully matured for over 18 years. Spanning 6.9 hectares, the vineyard predominantly features Cabernet Sauvignon, complemented by 1.2 hectares of Merlot and 0.8 hectares of Chardonnay. These vineyards were meticulously planted by Liu Hai's father in the year 1997, showcasing a legacy of viticulture that spans nearly two decades. In 2010, assuming the reins of the estate, Liu Hai embraced the visionary goal of crafting the finest wines in the Ningxia region, marking a new chapter in the vineyard's journey towards excellence.

Made from the blending of malts from the two distilleries of Yoichi and Miyagikyo, this whisky was the pride and joy of its creator Masataka Taketsuru, founder of Nikka and the father of Japanese Whisky. Light golden honey in colour with candied nuts, walnuts and hazelnuts on the nose as well as delicate and gentle smoke coming through with hay. Forward and straight pallet with juicy mouth feel, yet retaining a very gentle and sophisticated heat. Sweet apricots and peach dominate at first, leading to vanilla and subtle hints of ripe grape. Complex and long on the finish with lingering taste of dry herbs, leather and sweet pastry.
