Classic Margaret River Cabernet can be found in every bottle of Forester Estate's Cabernet Sauvignon. Showing trademark characters of cassis, tabacco, earthiness along with fragrant aroma of mulberry, black currant and dusty oak, that can only be described as exhilarating. Greenock Creek Creek Four Cuttings Cab Sauv
From a stunning Barossa red wine vintage of low yields and exceptional quality one of the greats that produced classic Greenock Creek styled wines of robust flavour and firm structure. The Four Cuttings Cabernet is an extension of our winemaking approach, aiming to capture the particular character of special single vineyard sites. A painstaking exploration of small vineyards across Barossa for sites that best display varietal characters akin to those of our legendary estate wines uncovered The Heidenreich vineyard at Light Pass, planted in the late 1930s. The vineyard produces consistently excellent Cabernet Sauvignon with layers of black fruit, leafy overtones and tobacco notes. As is the Greenock Creek tradition, this wine will reward patience and cellaring, while being deliciously approachable as a young wine.
Yalumba The Menzies Cabernet Sauvignon
Yalumba continue to produce amazing quality, premium wines for a fraction of the price they could demand. The Menzies is prime example with rich, blackcurrant and cassis fruit with integrated oak that fills the mouth.
Murray Street Vineyards Red Label Shiraz
Murray Street Vineyards might be a recent addition to the Barossa Valley elite, but it hasn't taken Andrew Seppelt and his team to firmly place themselves at the pointy end of quality in the Barossa. With access to some of the oldest vineyards in the Valley, Murray Street are able to produce wines like this Red Label Shiraz that are bursting with varietal aromas and flavours. Dark, purple and blueberry fruit with a fine and integrated tannin structure. A beautifully balanced wine.
Philip Shaw No 17 Merlot Cabernet Sauvignon
Intense yet elegant. A clean, precise and powerful expression of dark berry fruits, fine tannins and intergrated oak.
Greenock Estate Eden Valley Angas King Shiraz
Eden Valley slightly cooler climate than Barossa Valley. Fresh blueberries, maraschino cherry with brewed coffee aroma. Hand picked single vineyard, basket pressed aged 18 months french oak.
Blue Rock Wines Barossa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon
2015 ’Pantelis’ Cabernet Sauvignon The Pantelis Cabernet Sauvignon is our signature wine and bears the name of the family patriarch. Pantelis Zachopoulos (1927-1998) immigrated to Australia from Greece in 1966 with his wife Olga and four children. His diverse agricultural knowledge was passed onto his children Michael, Nicholas and myself [Zissis]. In 1998 a few months before his passing we purchased and began establishing our vineyard in the Barossa Ranges. I decided to make this wine in his honor as a token of our appreciation for everything he has taught us. The wine has dark rich fruits, plum and blackcurrant with a touch of typical Cabernet herbaceousness on the nose. The palate is long and full with lovely dark chocolate, Mocca and cassis favours.
Mountadam Vineyards Patriarch High Eden Shiraz
Eden Valley’s Mountadam Vineyards was established in 1972 and is nestled on a unique rocky outcrop ranging in elevation up to 550m. The vineyards were founded by David Wynn, who is credited with several milestones in winemaking, including the creation of the wine cask and planting the first contour vineyard in Australia. “More concentrated. More intense. A firmer weave of coffee grind and clove to bitter chocolate-doused tannins, too, with a darker fruit persuasion than its sassier brethren. More typically Australian, I suppose. More oomph, auguring well for a long, bright future. ... 93 points” (Halliday Wine Companion).
