Crafted from a trinity of exceptional casks—American white oak ex-Bourbon, rare Colheita Port pipes, and 30-year-old Matusalem Oloroso Sherry butts—it represents one of the distillery’s most refined releases. Once these elements reach peak maturity, they’re married in first-fill Bourbon barrels to harmonise into a single, seamless expression. Only a limited number of bottles are released, a fact that underscores both the rarity of the spirit and the patience involved in its production. Each cask contributes its own texture and tone: the Port gives ripeness, the Sherry brings complexity, and the Bourbon barrels anchor the whisky with classic Highland warmth. A contemplative dram built for those who seek nuance and depth. Best served neat, savoured slowly with toasted nuts or dark stone fruit tarts. Tasting Notes NOSE – Aromatic and rich Colombian coffee, liquorice, orange, molasses, cherries and ginger. PALATE – Spiced and layered Marmalade, ground cinnamon, chocolate cake, chestnut, and raisin. FINISH – Deeply textured Mango steeped in aged Port, plums, and rich pineapple.

Containing some of the distillerys rarest aged stocks selected by master distiller Richard Paterson. The Dalmore 45 year old was initially aged in bourbon casks, before being transferred over to a pair of Grahams Port Colheita pipes (from 1961 & 1963), then married together in first-fill bourbon casks. Presented in a hand-blown crystal decanter crafted by French crystal house Baccarat. The Dalmore stag emblem featured on the decanter is the work of Scottish silversmith and Royal Warrant holder Hamilton & Inches.This expression is said to showcase complex, rich, characteristics of sticky toffee, treacle cake, almonds, crushed hazelnuts, red berries, manuka honey, soft liquorice, and bitter chocolate.
The Dalmore 40 Year Old Single Malt Scotch Whisky
This 40 year old Highland single malt began its life at The Dalmore distillery in American white oak ex-bourbon casks before being transferred to 30 year old Gonzalez Byass Matusalem oloroso sherry butts. After seven years in these rare casks, the liquid was given its final flourish in first-fill American white oak bourbon casks prior to bottling in 2017. Rich Colombian coffee mingles with sweet sultanas, dates and marmalade on the nose. The palate reveals gingerbread, molasses, maple syrup and brioche dipped in Manuka honey. The finish has delicious blood orange, over ripe Bramley apples, liquorice and notes of desiccated coconut.
