This spirit is diluted to 63.5% ABV before being placed in casks for ageing. Most whiskies are aged in either 200L American oak ex-bourbon barrels or 300L French oak ex-tawny barrels, maturing for many years in Tasmania’s unique climate—typically between nine and eighteen years.
