Tasmanian Pinot Noir very rarely leaves the state! This bight, vibrant and elegant gem not only comes from Tasmania but is made for us exclusively at the great Josef Chromy estate. A thrilling must-try red, and a name with a very colourful story behind it. Josef Chromy set up his winery in Tasmania in 2007 aged 76, having escaped from Czechoslavakia in 1950. We are very proud to have a Chromy exclusive, as Tasmania’s highly celebrated wines almost never leave the state! This rather regal Pinot Noir takes its name from the source of its premium fruit – the Marchington Vineyard, planted on the Marchington estate, by a man called John Smith, the alleged illegitimate son of a King of England, shipped to Tasmania in the 1800s. Don’t miss it!

Hidden Gate is a quiet discovery of one ofAustralia's cool-climate regions - Tasmania. Opening the bottle is like opening the gate on elegance and balance. With a bright red cherry appearance and a delicious bouquet offresh cherry, spices, forest floor accompanied by a hint of plum. On the palate, this Pinot Noir is fresh and bright, tasting of sweet dark cherry, wrapped in savoury spices of cinnamon and star anise, with tannins that finish beautifully.

Ninth Island is a classic Tasmanian Sparkling. Apple and pear dominate the nose that is backed by a balanced yeastiness. The palate has good grip and a dry finish. What a little beauty!

Josef Chromy's Pinot Gris delivers a fresh, zesty flavour profile of ripe apricot, pear and subtle hints of ginger. The grapes are harvested quite ripe in order to give the palate its full, rich weight and texture with a beautifully balanced, lingering zesty finish. A great pairing with a Risotto or Calamari.

This vibrant NZ Pinot shows earthy forest floor notes and dark cherries on the nose. Richly textured on the palate the flavours have elements of wild berries mushroom and chocolate framed by quality French oak.
