A rich and harmonious palate that is soft, silky and just a little sweet. There are ripe tropical fruit flavours of papaya, guava, rockmelon and passionfruit with hints of grass and fennel. The wine has a soft and sweet finish with lingering tropical fruit characters.

An elegant, vibrant and fragrant nose with lemon, lime and pear in the foreground. Notes of peach blossom and subtle jasmine create lift and combines with cardamom pod, almond meal and roasted cashew. The palate has immense purity, with power and persistence. Food matches - Meat dishes, saucy pastas and cheeses. Peak drinking - Drinking well now but will develop further over the next 5 to 8 years.

This Margaret River Sauvignon from the "formidable partnership" (Halliday) of Byron & Harold is "an intriguing mix of the herbal and tropical..."(WinePilot) and "fabulously aromatic..." with "terrific fruit intensity" (Wine Orbit). The fruit here is a combination from two vineyards, one in the north of the Margaret River region and the other close to Augusta in the south. Jane Faulkner in The Halliday Wine Companion gives it 92pts – “Any overt tropical fruit flavours are pared back so this reveals more white stone fruit and citrus – from lemon, lime and grapefruit to makrut lime leaves.
