All individually numbered, with proceeds from the sale of the 3,030 bottles donated to Les Burdett’s charity of choice – Variety, the Children’s Charity. Tasting Notes Aroma The nose is rich and opulent with complex blackberry and liquorice aromas. A hint of sweet nutty spice complements the fresh fruit. Palate A bright black fruit palate with supporting French oak and layers of sweet spice and chocolate. Complex and alluring tannins give structure and elegance with bright natural acidity providing a mouth-watering and moreish finish.

The 2022 Estate Shiraz is hand crafted from grapes grown on blocks 1, 9 and 10 of the Lloyd Brothers McLaren Vale Estate. Each parcel was selectively picked and fermented in small open fermenters, then basket pressed to new and seasoned French oak. After 14 months the best barrels were selected to create the Estate Shiraz. This wine shows lovely rich, ripe, dark berry fruit on the palate with overtones of mocha, spice, black pepper and liquorice. Approachable in its youth this wine will happily age for 10+ years.

Deep red colour shines from the glass. Aromas of black fruits,plums and blueberries, with notes of dark chocolate, red spice, and subtle hints of marshmallow. The palate is full-bodied with dark chocolate, boysenberry and great fruit concentration. The integration between fruit, oak, and tannins leading to a long, rewarding finish.

Black cherry, sweet spice and dark fruit aromas combine with blackberry and raspberry flavours to give a crisp and approchable wine.

The quality of fruit and winemaking speaks volumes as to how this wine has turned out. The nose is abundant with red and blue fruits also seen on the palate, which is juicy, full bodied and underpinned by fine tannins. Bremerton Old Adam is a stunning example of Langhorne Creek Shiraz with dense and integrated fruit that exudes ripe plum and blackcurrant. Rebecca Willson is able to seperate each parcel of fruit that comes in off of the old vineyards and keeps them that way throughout fermentation and maturation in oak. This enables perfect barrel selection to create a wine of true distinction.

Vibrant, youthful colour, medium density and lovely purple tints for this Shiraz by Brokenwood. Being a cooler year the aromas are more on the spice cherry side than ripe and opulent. Medium weight palate and again spice and savoury edges. The tell-tale McLaren Vale jube fruit is there along with background oak.
