Sitting high in the Adelaide Hills, Sidewood hand craft single vineyard wines of the utmost complexity. Their Chardonnay is made up of four French Chardonnay clones from the Ashwood vineyard and shows a crisp front palate with lifted layers of aromatic fruit. Each clone provides a unique flavour profile to the end result and delivers a wine displaying complex pear, peach & fig fruit flavours with some lovely nutmeg and sage spice notes.

This is a lightly oaked Chardonnay matured in old French oak. The oak maturation has given the wine zesty aromas of stone and citrus fruits. These fragrances are followed by abundant nectarine and peach on the palate, which end in a crisp and clean finish. Fermentation by both cultured and wild yeasts has added texture and complexity to the drink.

Sourced and grown in the Adelaide Hills, this is a fine example of how good Chardonnay from this region can be. This is a blend of 3 different cultivars of the Chardonnay grape. Bunch pressed and in part wild fermented. Partial malolactic fermentation imparts further complexity. A beautifully textured and complex wine.

Vibrant palate of generous Clingstone peach and lemon peel entwined withalmond meal and vanilla bean notes. The palate is richly layered and Chardonnaysnatural taut acidity balances the accents of French oak off in the lengthy finish.

These traditional sparkling varieties of Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier are sourced from the cool climate Adelaide Hills, and are picked early to retain high natural acidity. Small batches of these low yielding grapes are gently pressed in stainless stell basket presses. Following primary and partial malolactic fermentation the inidividual parcels are bottled and inoculated with yeast and sugar to encourage secondary fermentation. The cuvee is fermented in the bottle to develop complexity for approximately four years. This is a dry style sparkling with minerality, a crisp acid backbone and layers of flowers, fruits and toasty savoury nuances.

Penfolds Maxs Chardonnay is a tribute to former Chief Winemaker Max Schubert, a legend in Penfolds history. Pale straw in colour with green hues, this wine has a very nice textural and creamy palate with a soft line of acid fading ever so slowly to a distant palate horizon.

Aromas of white stone fruits, citrus and flint are complemented with toasted nut characters on the palate. High altitude sites product premium fruit with medium weight which is balanced with lively acidity giving elegance and a lingering finish. Hamish and Kate Laurie continue a five generation winemaking tradition. Devoted to the high altitude sites of the Adelaide Hills and with Kate's French oenology training the wines they produce are at once traditional and contemporary. With a fiery passion to create premium bottle fermented and aged sparkling together with aromatic whites that can genuinely cellar, their signature style is focussed, textural, restrained and balanced. Penfolds Yattarna Chardonnay displays an initial bouquet of slate and wet stone, with nuances of lightly roasted almonds. Subtle hints of citrus, shrouded by nectarine and nashi pear fruits. On the palate, a spiced multi-citrus compote with a very delicate acidity. Balanced and will develop exceptionally well with cellaring.

White stone fruit and grapefruit aromas are layered with a touch of smoky, flinty character. This layered chardonnay has loads of texture, tension, and a hint of oak spice. Pair with risotto or carbonara pastas.
