Brothers At War Single Vineyard Syrah
Brothers at War Single Vineyard Eden Valley Syrah The fruit for this single-vineyard Syrah comes from 80+-year-old vines from the Wardlaws Eden Valley Pendee Farm vineyard. This small parcel of Eden Valley Syrah is handpicked and the fruit is mostly destemmed, though not crushed, into a one-tonne open-top fermenter with 30% whole bunch clusters. The fruit is kept cool for five days before being allowed to warm up naturally and start the fermentation process. The wine is then hand plunged twice daily for three weeks before being pressed to French oak puncheons (40% new) and aged on lees for 18 months before bottling without fining or filtration.
Fighting Gully Road Reserve Syrah
pen-fermented, 35% whole bunches, 2% viognier skins. Matured in 600L thick staved demi-muids. The bones are strong, the flavours are fine. There's nothing brutish about this wine, it's not rocket-propelled, and yet it pushes firmly for the stars. It tastes of graphite and black coffee, black cherries and white pepper, though what you really notice here is the wine's supple, spicy insistence and its fine web of tannin. This wine is going places.

Clos de Luz Azuda Syrah
AZUDA is a recognition of the famous water wheels of Almahue. These have become a true inspiration for our wines, produced from non traditional grape varieties of Almahue Valley, serving as a symbol of innovation, and ingenuity against human limitations. Azuda wines are produced with no chemicals, and only a minimal amount of sulfite is added before bottling. Since these wines are not stabilized, some harmless tartrate crystal sediment, which does not affect the quality of the wine, may be found in the glass. 50% of our wine is aged in used 300 -litre French oak barrels , 6% in new 500-litre Sylvain barrels and as of this year, the remaining 44% in 800-litre clay amphora, seeking to deliver greater strength and minerality highlighting the Almahue Valley fruit. Deep intense ruby red color On the nose the wine is both intense and elegant with lively black fruit aromas such as blackberries, blueberries and plums with touches of minerality like gunpowder. The wine shows exceptional complexity and structure, while being suported by powerful tannins.
