Marchand & Burch Villages Chardonnay
Delicate and gentle notes of cooler climate fruits fill the nose; wet stones, chalk, fine citrus zest and orange blossom. The palate is lissom and has a mineral water like weight as citrus fruits mingle with toasted nut-meal and caramel. A fine and soft acidity retains levity and gives length and crispness to finish this Chardonnay by Marchand and Burch.

Martinborough Vineyard Chardonnay
Alain Geoffroy Chablis
Many of us wine drinkers have a soft spot for Chablis. Its with great reason too, given our climate and affi nity with seafood. A little over two months ago, we were thrilled when this wine hit our shores for the first time following a selective buying trip. Once again, it showcased its undisputed quality and notoriety in our tasting sessions. Established in 1850, this small family owned domain is the proven choice of so many when it comes to great Chablis. The estate comprises a mere 45 hectares of vines scattered throughout the region, grown on the famous Kimmeridgian limestone soils. Textbook in expression and style, super fi ne and elegant, this 2013 has perfectly poised, piercing acidity. This drives superb length of flavour on the featherweight light palate. Is there a better oyster wine?
Nick Spencer Tumbarumba Chardonnay
Nick Spencer describes this drop as "Tumbarumba in a bottle". A great example of the region's chardonnay, Nick believes that the 2018 vintage has produced some of the best fruit he has seen in the past decade. Vibrant green apple and white peach aromas linger on the nose, with slight crushed rock notes. Beautifully restrained power in the palate, subtle complexity and a devine length. Smashing drop! The fruit comes from Tumbarumba. Nick has made Chardonnay from this region for a decade now, he believes that the vintage has produced some of the best fruit he has seen. This doesn't have the flashy oak and sulphide aspects which often characterised his critically acclaimed Chardonnays at Eden Road, this is a gentler, more streamlined version of the variety which showcases the purity of fruit from this cool nsw region.
