Tapanappa Whalebone Vineyard Merlot Cab Franc

The 2018 Tapanappa Whalebone Vineyard Merlot-Cabernet Franc is a ripe complex wine, with intensity as well as strength and is a “true expression of the unique Whalebone Vineyard terroir”. Aromas are leafy and floral from the Cabernet Franc and rich plum pudding from the Merlot. The slight mint and fresh earth of the Whalebone terroir is melded with the cedar of the oak and the olive aroma of the tannin. The flavours reflect the aroma and the fruit is immediately sweet and ripe, graduating to a refined tannin and balanced acid finish.

Coonawarra Cabernet

The 2021 Cabernet Sauvignon reveals exceptional depth, beginning with vibrant aromas of plums, cassis, and delicate violet flowers. Petaluma Merlot is medium body with a brick red colour, the superbly perfumed bouquet is a tangle of marzipan, spice, plum and confectionery and is the best nose of the early Petalumas. On the palate, flavours of cherry, plum and spice emerge, with very good depth and complexity.

The Malleea (an aboriginal word for 'green paddock') is a very fine exapmle of the classic Australian Cabernet/Shiraz blend. The 2008 is rich, dark magenta in colour, with ripe plums, spice and vanillin oak on the nose. The palate is like a complex fruit cake with layers of fresh berries, black olives and hints of chocolate.

Langton's Classified Excellent WIN an Exceptional wine cellar* worth more than $10k Limestone Ridge Shiraz-Cabernet is an opulent loose-knit style with intense fresh blackberry/ raspberry/ meaty aromas, voluminous fruit, fine ripe chocolaty tannins, underlying savoury/ malt oak. The vineyard, named after the limestone cap that passes just below the surface, is planted to around 18 hectares of Shiraz and six hectares of Cabernet Sauvignon on unusually shallow terra rossa soils over limestone. After vinification in stainless steel fermenters, the wine is matured in a combination of new and seasoned American and French hogsheads. With proven cellaring potential, this is an important Coonawarra wine that evokes a strong scent of place.

Hay Shed Hill Block 2 Cabernet Sauvignon

The Hay Shed Hill Block 2 Cabernet Sauvignon displays ripe berry aromas of brilliant intensity with underlying earthen nature along with typical characters well noted from Margaret River. Gentle extraction is achieved by the draining of wine from the skins and returning back over.
