Hentyfarm Wines Pinot Gris
2017 Hentyfarm Pinot Gris Our Hentyfarm Pinot Gris is a story about an amazing vineyard site in Drumborg, Henty. Owned and tended by ‘biological farmers’ Jack & Lois Doeven. They had a terrible time in the beginning with the planting of Pinot Gris, having to re-plant twice back in the nineties. Hentyfarm was lucky to be allocated some of this precious fruit again in 2017 . This is the first Pinot Gris we have made working with Ray Nadeson at Lethbridge. He has really nailed it ! the style is in keeping with our wines as well as a clean textured finish. Colour : Light Golden colour with Pinky Silver highlights Bouquet: Perfumed Nashi Pear, honeysuckle and hay Palate: Crisp Green Apple and Pear flavours with some lime and grapefruit extending to the finish Cellaring: This wine is great for summer drinking, cold and fresh with chilli snacks and Asian style dishes.
Primo Estate JOSEPH d'Elena Pinot Grigio
Joe Grilli, Primo Estate’s owner and winemaker, named his Pinot Grigio 'd’Elena' as he planted his single hectare of Pinot Grigio vines the week his daughter Elena was born in 1998. Eighteen years later, the vines have developed deep roots in the shale stone soil and produce a savoury style Pinot Grigio with minerality and elegance. The fruit is handpicked and very gently pressed before fermentation in stainless steel. The wine is bottled early to preserve the delicate fruit characters. Best enjoyed young, this wine will drink well for several years. The d'Elena offers fresh citrus fruit acidity and light pear fruit. This wine's natural acidic balance and savoury mineral length make it the perfect food wine.

Isabel Estate Vineyard Pinot Gris
ISABEL ESTATE Pinot Gris, Marlborough Isabel Estate was established in Marlborough in 1980 and has some of the oldest vines in the region. Its Wairau Valley location receives the full benefit of extended sunshine hours combined with a long, relatively cool growing season. Yields are restricted by pruning to low bud numbers and, where necessary, shoot and bunch thinning ensures that fruit quality is fully optimised. The Isabel Pinot Gris style focuses on fruit purity and classic pear, elderflower and chalky mineral flavours. As leading New Zealand wine writer Bob Campbell MW says, Isabel Estate Pinot Gris is: Made in an off/dry style but with enough acidity to generate a fairly dry finish. Lovely wine.
