Fiano is a rare white grape variety that is well matched to the cool climate of Hilltops, near Young, NSW. Fiano produces a refreshing wine with mandarin and fresh garden herb aromatics, the palate is textural and defined by lingerring lemon acidity.

Multi Trophy-winning Sam Trimboli must be one of the country's most in-demand winemakers. But after 30-odd years working for other wineries, he took the big step of setting up on his own in 2018 – and, being an old friend of ours, we backed him every step of the way. The Fresh Pick Shiraz is picked two weeks earlier than our normal Shiraz. This means it has vibrant red fruits with musk aromas and ayouthful bright berry palate. We have chosen to make the Fresh Pick Shiraz as it’s a summer red wine that could even be served chilled at a barbeque. We call it Flavabom because it is an explosion of aromasand fruit in the red fruit spectrum.

On the nose it displays aromas of hazelnuts, guava and subtle marjoram spice. Wrapping around a core of chalky minerality are flavours of nectarine, guava and melon. Bringing it all together is a lemon pith, bitter almond character that complements the wickedly savoury and textured finish.

This classic ginger infused wine is full of spice and zest, it is an ideal mixer or straight up over ice. Very refreshing and finishes clean and crisp.
