Risky Business White Knuckle Chardonnay

Vinaceous Shakre Chardonnay

Fermented 80% in stainless steel tanks and the rest in French oak barriques, Vinaceous Shakre Chardonnay has been designed to display the strengths of modern Margaret River Chardonnay. This wine of merit features a pale lemon colour and opens with bright and clean fruit aromas accompanied by subtle oak nuances. Juicy and structured on the palate, the wine offers a crisp and clean finish that lingers on. It's a casual, uncomplicated accompaniment to a variety of meals, especially mushrooms.

Amelia Park Chardonnay

It has a lovely bouquet of white peach and pear with hints of honey and nougat. This chardonnay is 100% wild fermented and matured in French oak for nine months. The palate is soft with fresh tropical fruit flavours, finishing with citrus and chalky minerality. All three parcels were hand-picked on the same day and chilled overnight. The following day the grapes were tipped as whole bunches directly into our press and gently pressed off into a tank. Natural settling occurred overnight and the cloudy juice was then sent to French oak barrels twenty-four hours later. Wild fermentation was completed in a barrel and allowed to mature on its own lees for nine months, with minimal stirring during this time, to maintain freshness and natural acidity. Amelia Park is a boutique producer located in the Margaret River wine region of Western Australia. We focus on producing fine wines of exceptional quality, combining leading edge techniques with traditional winemaking values and practices. Our winemaker, Jeremy Gordon believes that his success lies in a hands-on approach to every step of the process, attention to detail and an unquenchable passion for making consistently outstanding wines. This philosophy has seen Jeremy receive numerous awards throughout his career including Australia's most coveted award, the Jimmy Watson Memorial Trophy. Since launching in 2009, Amelia Park have been quick to make their mark, winning trophies at the most prestigious wine shows both domestically and internationally, as well as being awarded 5 Red Stars in the 2016 edition of James Halliday's Wine Companion. This award confirms Amelia Park on the list of the Best Wineries in the Margaret River region and in the top 5% of wineries in Australia.

Clairault Estate Margaret River Chardonnay

Vinaceous Shakre Margaret River Chardonnay

It’s very easy to enjoy this 93pt Chardonnay, as Sam Kim notes: “Elegantly complex and inviting, the bouquet shows white flesh peach, Gala apple, lemon zest, and nougat characters with a hint of oatmeal. It's beautifully weighted in the mouth, displaying a finely flowing mouthfeel backed by bright acidity, finishing long and refined.” (Wine Orbit). Vinaceous is a dynamic, somewhat quirky enterprise utilising colourful names and labels and excellent fruit usually from Western Australia’s Margaret River and Great Southern. “The wines (from Vinaceous) are of seriously good quality and equally good value” says Halliday.

Leeuwin Estate Prelude Chardonnay

An elegant, vibrant and fragrant nose with lemon, lime and pear in the foreground. Notes of peach blossom and subtle jasmine create lift and combines with cardamom pod, almond meal and roasted cashew. The palate has immense purity, with power and persistence. Lime and lemon pith define the palate, which carries through to a delicately layered middle, threaded with a fine mineral spine. Sesame seed and blanched almonds enhance complexity, finishing with a sparkling acid structure. This wine has energy in its youth, and will build texture with cellaring.

Credaro Kinship Chardonnay

This enticing Credaro Kinship Chardonnay features a pale straw colour with bright green highlights lurking throughout. The attractive bouquet exudes scents of cashew, citrus, pear, nectarine and white flowers. The palate is soft and medium to full bodied, containing fresh citrus and stone fruit flavours supported by creamy biscuit undertones. These fruit elements integrate with a fine layer of mineral acidity to provide an elegant structure and a captivating climax. With a cellaring potential of 3 to 5 years, this delightful Chardonnay pairs best with vegetable terrines, steamed fish and pastas.

Hay Shed Hill Vineyard Series Sauvignon Blanc Semillon

The wine displays fresh green tinges to a very pale straw colour. Typical cool-climate Sauvignon Blanc and Semillon aromas of lively tropical fruits and fresh herbaceous grassy characters make up an intense bouquet. The palate is fresh and lively with classic Sauvignon Blanc and Semillon characters and a fine structure that are an indication both of the quality of the vintage and the use of only free-run juice. The Hay Shed Hill vineyard is situated on a picturesque property that was established as a group settlement farm for returned soldiers from the First World War. Known as Sussex Vale the property was originally a dairy farm. The current homestead, considerably renovated, still has much of the original Group Settlement look and feel. Vines were first planted in the early 1970s. In the late 1980s the vineyard was bought by the Morrison Family and the wine brand Hay Shed Hill was established taking its name from the local reference to the hay shed located on the property. The sister label, Pitchfork, was developed to complement the single vineyard Hay Shed Hill label. A series of ownership changes saw numerous alterations to labels, wine style and distribution until the current group of partners bought back the farm and the brand in late 2006 and returned to the original concept of producing wine with integrity that expresses the quality of the site.
