Balvenie Doublewood 12 Year Old Single Malt Scotch Whisky

It's been over a decade since we've revisited the Balvenie range. From the 12 Year Old, right up to the venerable 30 year old expression, the house style emerges as one of the lightest and most delicate to be found from Speyside with almost no peat evident. 'Doublewood' gains its character from maturation in two woods, transferred from traditional x-Bourbon American oak to a Sherry oak casks for its final maturation. It's sometimes described as the classic, "essential" expression in Balvenie’s core range. From a 30ml sample, the nose is lifted with vanilla, dilute honey and dried fruits. The entry is featherweight, unfolding into a medium-weight dram with moderate flavours of dried fruit and a warm mouthfeel. An aftertaste of dried grass and drying oak sustains a little prickle. All up, this is uncomplicated and typical of the distillery style, but even at 12 years old, Doublewood still tastes surprisingly young. 40% Alc./Vol.

Glasgow 1770 Fresh & Fruity Single Malt Whisky

Glasgow 1770 Single Malt Scotch Whisky, The Original, is the whisky that started it all. Our inaugural expression, The Original is a fresh and fruity single malt that combines the finest concerto malted barley with the purest Scottish water from Loch Katrine. A minimum of 72 hours of fermentation combined with an extremely slow distillation results in a fruity and delectably sweet new make spirit which is then matured in first fill ex-bourbon casks before a finishing period in virgin American oak barrels. Bottled at 40% ABV, non-chill filtered and natural in colour, The Original is a true representation of the whisky we produce at The Glasgow Distillery and showcases our production philosophy and dedication to quality. This is a remarkably fruity and smooth single malt with notes of red berries, vanilla, pear and honey with a long spicy finish. AWARDS: • Scotch Gold Award

Michter's US 1 Bourbon Whiskey

Michters is Americas first distilling company, dating back to 1753 when they started out making rye whiskey. They take a 'Cost Be Damned' approach to the production of every barrel, using various methods including air drying their barrels for 36 months, toasting the barrels before charring them, using a low barrel-entry strength, heat cycling to encourage ageing during the frigid winters and using specific filtration types for each whiskey they make.

Johnnie Walker Gold Reserve Blended Scotch Whisky

Johnnie Walker Gold Label Reserve is known for its creamy smoothness. It opens with a luxurious burst of delicate nectar and gentle smokiness that develops into sweet fruits and deeper, velvety, honeyed tones before giving way to sublime, lingering whispers of smoke and oakiness in the finish. Pure indulgence from one of the world’s most iconic whiskey labels. Johnnie Walker Gold Label Reserve is a Double Gold Medal (San Francisco World Spirits Competition 2023) award-winning blend created by Master Blender Jim Beveridge to celebrate nearly 200 years of the art of blending. Jim wanted to craft a luxurious blend that would vividly present all the bold flavours that Johnnie Walker is famous for. Jim Beveridge blended Johnnie Walker Gold Label Reserve so that its flavours unfold in waves, with rich fruit and vanilla alongside spicy and sweet woody notes and a gentle smokiness. His love for those flavours shines through in this vibrant whisky that can be enjoyed in a classic Scotch cocktail, neat, over ice, frozen or with water.
