River Vine vineyards pays homage to the two rivers that run through Langhorne creek.Once a natural floodplain, both the Bremer and Angas rivers pass through this premium wine growing region.This wine gives you aromas of fresh blueberries and herbal notes, followed by a rich juicy palate, full of blue fruits and Christmas cake flavours.

The Langhorne Creek region is known to produce good Shiraz/ Cabernet Blends and our Quintessential has Cabernet and Shiraz blended together equally by our winemaker Peter Douglas. It is a perfect match and will age gracefully for many years if you can allow yourself to leave them in the cellar long enough.Alternatively enjoy it now amd keep a few for later. We have only produced 105 dozen of this wine and have numbered each bottle in honour of its true pedigree.

The intensity of the fruit and varietal characteristics of Langhorne Creek soft tannin Cabernets were integrated with fine oak to develop this wine.

The wine, made in limited quantites, is a blend of the best parcels of Cabernet fruit from the vintage. Our Cabernet Sauvignon has lifted aromas of dark cherries and chocolate, with a richly flavoured palate of blackcurrants and ripe plum, with a smooth tannin finish. it has superb length and is perfect for drinking now and will also reward patient cellaring.Cabernet Sauvignon grown at our Langhorne Creek vineyards was created using a combination of fermentation styles and French oak to build complexity and structure. Ideal with a traditonal Irish beef stew or slow cooked lamb shanks.
