The Honeybomb Semillon Sauvignon Blanc is a punchy and textural expression of a Margaret River SSB. It is very much in the Devil's Lair playground, experimenting with a small percentage of oak and lees work to add complexity whilst respecting varietal aromatics and purity. Defined by a mineral edge (quartz comes to mind) and muddled lime with a zesty line and salivating acidity layered with elements of starfruit and nashi pear like texture captured from a small barrel ferment component.Devil’s Lair senior winemaker Ben Miller’s enthusiasm for wine is extraordinary. In the glass: Beautifully vibrant bright lemon with a still-youthful green tint. On the nose: Lifted mix of toast and honey development. On the palate: Rich and beautifully developed with a lovely warm core of buttered toast, preserved lemon and lemon curd in a terrifically textured, layered and complex wine. So remarkably fresh and complex.

On the palate: Layered and complex with lingering flavour persistence, lovely savoury layers of citrus fruit and faint tropicals, refreshing acidity and obvious yet good quality oak.
