Lights Valley Barossa Shiraz
Schwarz Nitschke Block Barossa Valley Shiraz
A lavish Single Vineyard Shiraz from a “fine Barossa vintage” (WinePilot) with a trio of 95pt scores, from winemaker Jason Schwarz, who set up Schwarz Wine Co in 2001, and whose parents are grape growers in Barossa’a Bethany. As Dave Brookes explains in The Halliday Wine Companion: “Jason Schwarz's parents planted this shiraz in Bethany in 1968… Thickly fruited with opulent blackberry, black cherry and cassis characters with hints of olive tapenade, graphite, tobacco, cedar, amaro herbs, dark chocolate bullets, turned earth and an array of dark spice. Full bodied… fine, powdery tannin and a thick-shouldered swell of black fruits that roll on for some time. 95pts. Great Value” (Dave Brookes, The Halliday Wine Companion). Shanteh Wale, WinePilot calls it:. "A celebration of old vines loving tended in the Eastern Barossa range. This calls for slow cooked meats, ox tail and inky gravy. Drink now or will cellar well for another 6-8 years further. 95pts” while for Sam Kim Wine Orbit it: "…beautifully combines power and elegance…impressively long and satisfying. 95pts."

Sons of Eden Romulus
A story that has intrigued Sons of Eden for years is the fable of the legendary founders of Ancient Rome, Romulus and Remus. These twins were abandoned at birth and reared by a she-wolf. Romulus murdered his twin in a fit of rage over the naming of Rome, the city which both had built. Legend presents Romulus as the stronger, more powerful of the brothers, while Remus was more refined, focussed and elegant. Sons of Eden believe the twins characterise the distinctive and unique flavours and attributes of Shiraz from the twin valleys - the Barossa Valley and Eden Valley. Deep crimson in colour with a complex aroma of dense cherry and red berry fruits together with nuances of dried herb and vanilla bean. A powerful and fleshy palate of plums, red berries and spice are balanced with persistent silky tannins.
Spinifex Indigene Shiraz/Mataro
Elegant and medium bodied, Indigene by Spinifex is a Shiraz Mataro blend typically displaying ripe red and black complemented by forest floor and savoury undertones hinting of the Old World. The fruit is sourced from selected vineyards averaging in age between 60-100 years, providing the blend with impressive intensity and depth of flavour. Following traditional vinification, the wine is aged in seasoned French oak.
Orlando Centenary Hill Shiraz
A delightful wine that has just reached it's maturity, showing classic Barossa Shiraz power albeit in a more savoury limelight. Earthy and leathery undertones give this wine a point of interest that wasn't there when it was big, young and sweet. Enjoy only with great food and good company.
